Physically, she looks similarly small-hipped and high cheekbones. I can see why cast her. “I don’t know what her music sounds like, but I do know this - that if she’s going to sing and play me, good luck.”
Who the heck liked the comment where the toad said I was lying. That's pretty odd to make something like that up. Also. A kind person researched the article. Now. Say your sorry humbly or be damned with nothing but Taylor Swift for your listening for eternity.

My favorite Zeppelin track. What carries me away here is the way John Paul Jones' gorgeous mandolin playing dovetails so perfectly with Page's hypnotic droning rhythm on guitar!
Best band ever. The first time I saw Zeppelin was 1969 70 in N.Y at the Fillmore East in New York plus all 3 night's at the Madison Square Garden 1973. Saw them around 12 times.😊😊😊😊
The great thing about this, is that it’s not auto tuned or auto pitched….it is what it is and it’s truthful. Robert has such a great rock voice, but also such a soulful voice that just pulls you in….and he’s a great lyricist for rock and roll. He’s my fav of all time. Zeppelin music will live on forever. Cheers✌️
All of their songs creates this emotional story or feeling. Everything from this song to stairway to heaven to when the levee breaks to black dog to the lemon song. They were masters of their craft and the world loved them for it. Plus this song makes me want to get a hot cup of tea and sit back and cuddle with a loved one while it's playing.
I didn't like that they didn't do a reunion, but I really respected it. Every single individual on that stage is considered the peak for their roles AND came together in such beautiful harmony.
Friend of mine was in a record store in Nashville a couple of years ago talking to the owner about rockabilly. He said this older guy with long hair and a beard came up and joined in the conversation. After a few minutes he realized it was Robert Plant. The three of them spent a good while just talking music.
This album was released in 11/71, a month before I was born. My older brother gave me Led Zeppelin IV for Christmas in '81. Changed my life. I was hooked.
He was brilliant and in rock metal genre the other that comes to mind is Freddie Mercury, Bruce Dickinson of Iron Maiden, Jeff Tate of Queensryche, the Steelheart lead singer but Plant was an OG for sure
I remember telling a friend, many years ago, that the magic of LZ was that Robert Plant could make his voice sound like Jimmy Page's guitar work and visa versa.
I didn't see Robert relishing that moment, because Jimmy had me distracted with the guitar pick Scotch Taped to his thumb, and the guitar pick up, Duct taped to his priceless guitar.
I was born in '85 and when I discovered Zeppelin I was immediately saddened. I would never be able to see these legends live. I was lucky enough to see Robert Plant and Alison Krauss when they were touring, but seeing Zeppelin would have been a major bucket list achievement.
I saw Plant and Page in concert in 1997 (Albany NY, Walking Into Clarksdale album tour). The first 3 songs they did, were from their new album. Robert exclaimed, "By contract with our record label, we must play at least 3 of the new songs,..........let's get them out of the way so we can really have some fun'..." After the 3 songs (not bad) the ripped into 150 minutes of straight on Led Zeppelin. It will always be the best show I will ever see. I am not religious in any way, but I did feel as though I was in the presence of gods that day.
Plant is a massive Elvis fan and he likes to bring in his tones here and there. They all met him in Vegas back in the 70’s when Elvis invited them to his penthouse and they talked music and even sang a few tunes.
Organic effortness. Very well put. I had the pleasure of seeing them several times as well as the first time they ever played Stairway to Heaven in Boston at the Boston Gardens, 1972 or three somewhere in there. It was the 70s ha ha

"Going To California" is one of those ethereal introspective acoustic numbers that's best experienced when you're riding on a Greyhound bus in the middle of a rainy afternoon. The mandolin sounds always seems to mimic the sight of rain rolling down the windows and vice versa...
