This year, Taylor Swift finally broke free from her label! This was something she had been wanting to do but unfortunately, she wouldn’t own any of her music. And while the two are locked in legal battle, Taylor announced she would be able to re-record her first five albums when her contract with Big Machine ended in November 2020. But now, Big Machine’s Scott Borchetta and Scooter Braun are pushing back on any sort of re-recording, Taylor explained in a long note she had tweeted yesterday. According to the note, it was announced that the American Music Awards would be honoring her with the Artist of the Decade award this year and while she was planning on performing a medley of all of her music, Big Machine stepped in to tell her she’s not allowed to because that would be considered a re-recording before she’s allowed in 2020. She even claims Scooter and Scott have denied Netflix permission to use her older music in an upcoming documentary they are doing on her life.

They have to in order to grab the viewer’s attention. That’s why when you watch videos that has Justin’s name in the title, you’ll see it got many views just for the name. It’s just a marketing strategy. Sometimes they use his name even if he’s not related to the topic just to grab your attention.

I love Taylor Swift and I have always loved her songs since I remember. I cant believe they are doing this. They are basically throwing all her work in the trashcan right infront of her. Hopefully Taylor gets what she deserves.
