after 2 days I loved mine too ...only problem is that the left side of the car rattles over bumps in winter...same with the Rio Rattle .... hopefully only in the winter...improves as the car gets hot
What is that, like 130km/h? Ahaha...I should've figured. Anyways, I wanted to compliment you on your new reviews. Great stuff. Really looking forward to more, and I hope you can manage to keep up this frequency as well. Oh, and including the gas figures in L/100km instead of MPG is very very helpful for us Canadians. Again, thanks a lot!
Give it a chance when it comes out also as is most everything else its quite different seeing it in person than seeing it on the screen as you get the real time environmental impacts and lighting, angle etc. Not to mention they got their good lookin coupe comin in too with good performance.
Still, I like this review, just like your other reviews. Though the change of scenery is for the worse. Not sure where you film the majority of your other episodes (BC?), but it always looks beautiful.
Motormouth Canada I have test driven this in the evening and just wanted to know if the HID headlamps are low beam only? if not why does it have a fairly low depth of field? thanx
7L/100km combined is not that great. It's not even all that close to the advertised figures of other cars in the segment (excluding Hyundai, which also has bad fuel economy), but even if it was, those cars actually beat the estimates when driven in the real world. That includes mountain driving as well!
Love this car minus the gas mileage. Loved it more than the elantra, but the refreshed elantra model will have most of what this forte has so elantra is my favorite again ahhaha
I am a bit cautious with the "cars of the year" that anyone and his mother can nominate for an award... I just got a KIA Optima Hybrid Premium 2012 in past June. This winter, the awarded hybrid never did better than... 15L/100km in city driving (residential area) and I have written proofs of that. This has been tested by Kia local technicians who can testify of this. They showed the data to KIA and got answered that is was "normal".
I thought it was the Rio, but it's the Forte? Man, they screwed up the styling. Last years Forte was much sportier, and I though the Kia line up was more the enthusiasts versions, & Hyundai was the luxury marque...Hmmm, blurring the lines a bit here...
Love this car, if only they would decrease the HP to like 140 like the other guys then it would be perfect. Im not about speed and handling, im about bang for your buck and all the amenities along with fuel efficiency
you would like the smaller engine...also less expensive also shared by the Elantra ...and in size and lower power by Toyota, Honda etc .....so a wide choice
Just got it yesterday for my birthday I love it (:

Another great review buddy! Keep them coming. I like how you are starting to have more videos per week
For us US types, I googled a conversion table and found that 7L/100km converts to 33.6 MPG. Love the Arizona landscape that you were driving in!

I have the 2013 model but I want this 2014 model now! I want a silver or black one I dont like the blue
I can't wait for this to come out and I know I will take a look at it when considering a new car.

2014 forte just won the MotorTrends compact car comparison against nissan, dodge, mazda. I recommend that read online.
The 2.0L engine is new.
Kia needs to put better quality control buttons across their vehicles, as the glossy black finish tends to fade away overtime.
Can't wait for the Forte Hatch to be available in Canada, much nicer front styling IMO.

I'm already seeing the sedan on the roads here in the GTA (Toronto). @motormouth @Zach, do you know when Kia will be releasing / selling the Forte5?
This forte looks sweet!!

I agree with you.
The elantra does have UVO voice commands but hyundai dosent tell you
looks like a mini optima. good looking car
IS THE BASE ENGINE IN A KIA OPTIMA A 200HP 2.0L?
my new car review channel, just cause it's canadian
Plus I was driving at 80mph
I was also getting 7L/100km while cruising ... a little hard to believe...will double check
today I got 9L/100km which is about 1-2L more consumption of gas but that 'could' be temporary....if not I'm going back to the paper filter

does it come with a spare tire?
Will the Forte have parking sensors ?
Why? It is working for them and most people like it
What happen to the 2.4 engine ???

Thats normally only used in the mid size segment
2.4L

I'm stuck between this and the 2013 Kia rip...idk :-/
Doesn't have paddle shifters

the forte 2010-2013 were better. this is just copying elantra's style.
It's sexy
