- Maria Dancing Heart Hoaglund, international author, minister, body-mind-spirit specialist, and long-time hospice counselor, shares her most profound experience she's had as a spiritual counselor. (see www.changewithcourage.com for details) One needs to remain very flexible when doing hospice work; and in this situation she was privileged to be by the bedside when a gentleman was dying. Maria helped him make the transition by providing him with some essential oils that allowed him to relax and take his last breath in a remarkable short amount of time!
What a great video. My mother lay dying in the hospital when she began talking with someone that I couldn't see. She was so happy and excited. After a time she turned to me and asked if I'd seen her pastor. She meant her favorite pastor who had died 30 years earlier! Evidently he came to see her to tell her not to be afraid. She died at home the next day with myself and my sister by her side. Fear not!
Sue KL thanks for this

My mom died of cancer in 2005. I was her caregiver , she was also under hospice care at home.when she was a few days from death she was transfered to the hospital. As I sat by her bedside a nurse came in and said " she wont wake up again" just as the sentence left her mouth my mom woke up looked at me and said i love you.❤
@@rneedham667 Bless her and you...
Sue thank you for sharing ❤
Thank God for people who are called to this kind of ministry. It's so needful, as we know.
This beautiful lady passed away in 2016, she was hit by a truck and taken from us much too soon at the age of 61. The driver of the truck was charged with vehicular homicide. Keep your hate to yourself, she did what she did out of love. She's now free of that tight shoe
Good bless her soul we need more people like this in the world RIP angle
So sorry to hear this. God bless her.
Jake Such a terribly sad ending for this warm-hearted, compassionate, loving woman.
This beautiful lady did not go too soon when I'm trying to say my friend it doesn't matter whether you pass at 2 year-old or 61 year old are spirit is thousands upon thousands upon thousands upon thousands upon thousands of years old and you can go on saying that she came here for a reason she was probably a angel and I am a near death experience I have seen that vibration of that world it is beautiful it is wonderful it is glorified and we do have a lord Jesus Christ who I met you I have been face to face with
Maria got hit by a truck ? She's an Angle !
I have heard some wonderful things about hospice care. My grandmother was 92 when she passed in hospice care. If everyone could pass relaxed, calm, ready to accept what is next that would be comforting to not only them but the family as well. It takes time to accept the inevitable by both the person and family. I am a Christian and I do believe in God but I hope their is no hell for anyone's soul. Hell is like revenge and no one needs revenge as it is a form of hate to me. We should all hopefully join a place together filled with only love for all eternity. Thanks to the many hospice workers and care givers, I can think of no more noble a cause.
Sure wish we would have had a hospice nurse like you when my daddy died. Our hospice nurse wasn't even present when our father passed away. I had no idea what to do for him. I have no medical background. I did put oil on my father's forehead and on his feet. I'm so happy my daddy didn't suffer long. I think he could see us worried and calling the hospice nurse on the phone and getting no answer. I think he didn't want us to worry any longer. We just wanted to help him but we didn't know how to do that. I'm so glad my daddy isn't suffering anymore. I think of him smiling now with his great blue eyes.
I am sorry for your loss. Much peace and love to you 💟
Our lovely Mum opened her eyes too. It was a bit of shock but myself and my sister gently closed them as Mum's 4 adult children held her, told her we loved her and said the Lord's Prayer together.
That was beautiful. Thank you for sharing that experience❤️I've recently applied to be a hospice volunteer. Really looking forward to the journey ahead.
What a pretty face.! It radiates love, peace and kindness. They say that all humans get the face they've earned by age 50. Well, I saw the face of an angel....yours.
unit1301
No Argument here. Agree
She has a kind,gentle demeanor
What a lovely saying we get the face we earned by 50. There was one lady who was in her 80s i looked after and she had demtia. When she huged me i felt love radiate from her. And when she was anoyed she used to make me giggle as she never had one mean bone in her body. She had one of the most beautiful faces ive ever seen when i looked at her. It must of been the love and kindness through her soul seeping out. She will always stay with me a testsmsent to what truly matters letting others see you and always caring for others always i always felt this from her. I miss you beautiful lady.
I am a hospice nurse. Thank you for your work and sharing. I really like the shoe analogy💜
I'm so glad you shared this story.
How beautiful. Thank you for this lovely, generous video.
Thankyou so much for sharing this.....GOD BLESS YOU and ALL people who work in hospice care ANGELS ON EARTH!!!!!!
Mari, I hope I have someone like you at my side when I die.
My uncle was in hospice but he kept getting up and leaving it....he was supposed to live for six weeks but his life went on for years and years. And he seemed to enjoy taunting death. It was pretty funny. He died very peacefully, in his sleep, a very old, old man.
Thanks for sharing.that was lovely and funny.
Absolutely love this. Blessings to you! :-)
I wish there were more hospice workers like you who make the transition in to the next life more spiritual.
What a kind face.
Rest in peace, joy and light, Maria. ♡○☆
I've found from a couple of my previous clients that if you can help the client become more accepting of death it can be a wonderful learning experience that can help both your and your clients spirit more than ever expected, I used to work for Nurse Next Door in Edmonton Alberta Canada as a companion (not a nurse) before my arthritis got out of control.
That simple. Thank you.
A wonderful story. Death seems like a huge transition for a lot of people. I would imagine if a person hasn't had spiritual experiences before it could be a frightening thing to move on to a place that many don't understand.
Very nice stories, I experienced waiting for my dad dying in hospice, I was religious until this experience....it was dark/cold and very scientific, changed my perception on God /spiritual world for forever.
Did he know Jesus?
Love this story as I am also fascinated by near death stories. Thank you for sharing.
My mother was on hospice several times. Each time she outfoxed them. Then at the age of 91, she passed.
Thank you and God bless for sharing what you do.
Bless your heart... You people are true Angels.....
This lady has passed away so please no more hateful comments
Wow really when?
Jon Ogren in another comment it said she was hit by a truck something like that
i love the concept of 'crossing over'. that surely is it.
Christ only wants the best and most lovely passing experiences for each one of us, it sounds like he did have that, still he does nothing but offer us peace and free choice up untill and including the end of our lives, and he was probably waiting for this man with open arms and total unconditional LOVE
Cynthia Marble
How about the 5.6 million children under age five who died in 2016, that’s nearly 15,000 daily? Jesus sat there and “lovingly” watched every one, it's how he stays busy, yet your god can't even cure a peanut allergy!
Wondered what the music was..
The oils soothed and calmed this man. Why do readers of this video find fault?
Debra Frakes because they are mistaking relief through essential oils with a religious observance like the Last Rites. She doesn't really make it clear in the video that she isn't trying to be a priest, she is merely using some less common methods to soothe her charges.
Gotta admit, I had to stop myself from commenting, "You killed him with the oils!"
I just thought it was funny. I know it isn't true. =]P
beautiful.
The man was Catholic - very religious. I'm sure his relationship with Jesus Christ was just fine! So is mine, by the way ;)
Maria Dancing Heart Hoaglund i thank you for your profound service to our brothers and sisters who are transitioning ❤️
Amen sister... Im saved by the cross and what happened on it.
Love to both of you.
thankfully his friend was jesus.. I believe this friend is everything and helps us in every stage of life and when we leave he is by our side
Maria Dancing Heart Hoaglund these experiences have nothing to do with people's religion like people think I know it goes way deeper than that religion doesn't talk about these things Islam Judaism and Christianity you're trying to take credit for these experiences with people what religion is nothing to do with where people go it goes way deeper than that there's a lot of mystery above the other side that Islam Christianity a no world religion can explain God is God but not connected to any religion thank you beautiful woman Beautiful video have a blessed day
Anointing with essential oils ? what is that ?
What do you mean when you say you "Onouinted" with oils?? I know I didn't spell it right either lol sry. Thanks
Essential (sometimes/usually scented) oils of all kinds have been used therapeutically throughout history for comfort & treatment of pain & other ailments. They aren't neccessarily used for any purpose other than comfort & healing. More & more people are turning to oils & other natural remedies to treat illness & provide relaxation. This kind of annointing is not the same as you might find for religious purposes.
Beautiful ✨🙏✨
Great story and this lady has pretty hair and color.
My father (RIP) used to speak about death the same way - as taking off a too-tight shoe.
Hi, Roger. It was a CD by Cynthia Snodgrass called "Dream Chants: East & West - Soothing Gregorian and Sanskrit Chants for Relaxation and Meditation." If you're interested in a copy of the CD, I have one left, and you may order it here: www.soulbaskets.com/baskets.htm (scroll down). Namaste.
I LIKE HER FACE.SO SERENELY COMPOSED.
LOOKING UPWARD, IS THE SOUL LEAVING THRU THE 7th CHAKRA,THE TOP OF THE HEAD.SEVERING THE SILVER CORD AT THIS LOCATION.
There are many things that we do not fully understand in and out of this world but I find it very annoying when some people make stupid and negative comments about what they do not understand.Rather than make yourselves look like idiots dont read or comment on things that you cannot or don't want to understand.Sometimes silence is the more intelligent response.
What is the oil about?
so oil covered the smell.
I used to think death was a bad thing until I found out everyone else is doing it.
GODBLESS YOU
Wow so much hate spewing forth in the comments. Beliefs are a right, whether you think it is God given or not.
I was raised in a Christian household and was taught to believe that Jesus Christ alone is the way, the truth and the life and that nobody goes to the father except through the son. Would you agree with this theology or do you believe that there are many paths to God? I ask this with sincere kindness.......thank you.
I personally believe it is thee way, however, I also believe there are other paths as well. many young children pass without being told the Gospel I'm sure they're in heaven and I believe God is so much more forgiving than alot of what we're told. I love God and feel ultimately blessed to have been told the word and to know he is with me every step of the way.
One God many names...One mountain many paths.
God will have mercy on whom He wants. We cannot know how God will judgment. God always look at one's heart.
I've had many past lives with many religions including Christianity. When I was bad, I was sent to a Purgatory to purge out my negative traits and then sent back here to try again. When I was good, I went to a good place and enjoyed GOD's LOVE. Then, I was sent back to further my growth. Often times, the difference between Saints and brutes is just number of lifetimes a Soul has had to learn to be a channel for GOD's GREAT PURPOSE. Eventually, we graduate and don't have to come back...that's True Salvation. A PERFECT GOD has a PERFECT CREATION.
You honestly remember your past lives?
What exactly was amazing about that story?
She passed away too I looked her up
this story is more about you than the person who was dying and how wonderful you suppose to be realy enoying
These experiences have nothing to do with religion it goes way deeper than that
Right
Well, Jake, you might be right... I guess we'll have to agree to disagree here.
Well said Maria... God Bless you & your beautiful work:-)
What a lovely story you shared, yes he was ready for the call, now resting in gods love .
Another idea, Roger: If you're interested in a Soul Bundle, pick one out and purchase, and I'll make sure the "East & West" chant CD is included ;)
OMG, such disparaging comments from arm-chair know-it-alls. This woman looked sincere and spoke sincerely, she works with death everyday and I highly doubt she has ulterior motives. As for you bible thumpers; I'm sure Jesus and Moses are not throwing people in hell, this isn't Quiditch and its not Slytherin vs Gryfindor. Grow up.
Maria Dancing Heart. . . Is that a statue of a Buddha in the background? Do you believe that Jesus is the only way, truth and life, or do you believe that there are many paths to God, or our Higher Power?
R Lovell, it is a Buddha statue.
Budda, really? IN
Jesus Christ , He is the only Way to live and for sure leave this world. He is King and has HIS people a warm prepared.🕇🕇🕇
You removed the oxygen mask, so why the surprise?
No, Kimberly. She removed the oxygen mask because it might have been causing distress. If a patient is mouth-breathing the oxygen does no good anyway. It will go in the nose and out the mouth. Removing the oxygen mask does not hasten death.--D.H. Retired Hospice Nurse
I am a hospice nurse. If a person is actively dying, their oxygen levels go down even with the oxygen on. Sometimes, the oxygen is more annoying and burdensome to the patient when they are naturally trying to pass away.
Wow So what your telling me is that you killed an old man with essential oils ?
Making a mishmash by combining all religions is called syncretism. It tries to please everybody, but for people who know the Lord Jesus Christ, it is an abomination.
Ml
I think it was great that you had an opportunity to do this in your life to those who have nothing but nastiness to say about what you did I have this to say you have no idea what you are talking about Hugo and say this was a bunch of hogwash a bunch of BS and everything like that but I challenge you go and volunteer as a hospice counselor go into the rooms of about five or six hundred people it won't take you no more than a few years to do this because there are people dying everyday and I can guarantee you one thing if you did to a week you would get to a couple hundred people and I want to tell you something you see that many people dying and sometimes picking up on their last words you come out of that room and out of your life with a different look on life people who say this is hogwash or BS no absolutely nothing they're about as dumb as a box of cotton
Dancing heart?
Hmmm I don't see what's particularly "profound" about this story.
...he went so quickly........well you took his oxygen mask off so what did you think would happen?
I came here because you're cute, lol 💙
she took his oxygen away..Illegal death assistance. law suit/
Those oils. 💀
New age pap.
death and a person's eternal destination is to serious of a matter to prey on these patients and their families. Lady,... you should be ashamed of yourself.
How is she preying on anyone? You should be ashamed of YOUR self.
Earnest Goldsmith Sr it's "too"
Alhamudulilah I'm a Muslim
pamba missra no chance or hope for you .🔥
ugh
So you really didn't have any profound experiences. There is absolutely no reason to believe that these oils freed him. By this logic his leaving could have been caused by any other event that occurred at the same time. Really nothing profound here.
Jake you have little faith it sound like to me/
Mary Boyer Faith in what? Your unproven assertion?
Jake Miller why do you have to shit on it?
Brat I didn't SHIT on it. Why would you receive my comment as having shit upon it? Sorry if I triggered you. Perhaps you should find your safe place.
I have loads of faith, but no faith in nonsense.
He needed Jesus not petroleum
Why was that profound? A guy died. Also, he prob died because she took his oxygen off. Geez.
Pigeonlvbrd are you a hospice worker?20 years here and your dead wrong
He went quickly because you put smelly oils on a man and even under his oxygen mask and he could not breath at all. You were surprised? Imagine how surprised he was when he could not breath enough to say, get that smelly oil away from me.
it's probably because you took hos oxygen mask off.
Hospice! What a joke.
When we die, the body dies and the spirit goes back to God who gave it to us, but it is not conscious! The dead and living IN CHRIST, must wait for Jesus to return in the clouds, and the dead in Christ rise from their graves with the living in Christ, to meet Him in the air, to receive their immortality.
The spirit goes back to God but the soul (different from the spirit) still exists. Luke 16. Not a parable because names are given.
What is profound here? you are a flake with oil trying to sell a book. Also a bore... I have had great death in my family and you offer nothing and no comfort to anyone!!!!! Stop your B.S. and making a career out of people's loss!!!! Disgraceful
Jennifer - what happened (great death), who died in your family?
Give it a rest. She is talking about an experience here. It is what it is.
Why be so nasty? She is a kind woman, while you are... I'd rather not say.
"making a career out of people's loss"......you mean like the guy you gave money to embalm your family member, the second guy in the funeral home to buy a coffin and package deal they sold your living family members they convinced to buy using sales tactics, the third guy who sold you a ton of flowers to sit around and die at your family member's wake and then more dying flowers at their actual burial, or the pastor who charged for doing the sermon at the gravesite? You've got an entire death industry all vying for your money to take care of your dead loved one. Don't think you need to worry about the lady putting soothing oil on them when THEY'RE the ones requesting it.
Jennifer........looks like you died a long long time ago
A bitter ghost you have become, it's all that you leave behind
Witch
That was beautiful. Thank you for sharing that experience❤️I've recently applied to be a hospice volunteer. Really looking forward to the journey ahead.
