I actually read the manga of that schoolgirl. The art is outstanding! It actually helps me to learn how to draw movement (since the main character do beautiful gymnastic jumps). But, yeah, I laughed out loud when that smelling-feet scene came out 😂

yeah, he's given so much characterization that it's hard not to be sympathetic and root for him. it'd be easy to see an alternate version of this story with a more everyman male lead, but it would absolutely feel like they didn't deserve Marin. Gojo and Marin work so well together because they complement each other. it's like the writer deliberately considered how to write romantic leads from a character basis in such a way as to make them organically compatible.

3 years ago I picked up the Dressup Darling manga at Animate with the 1 clerk who decently understood English.
I had a feeling this was gonna lead to great things.

I am glad your video was late coming out because there are a few episodes to watch already.
Unironically, I think you should consider picking Vanitas back up. I don't know how much of season 1 you watched but if you haven't seen up to episode 5 yet then you should at least wait until the end of that to see if it grabs you or not. It's an incredible fantasy that's taking quite a lot of inspiration from real life historic events and people with a strong plot (and stronger plot twists, obviously given who wrote this) and a great cast of real and relatable characters and their intereactions are always amazing to see. Right now, it's in the highest heights of the series and the adaptation has been nothing short of insanely good (though there are some cuts sometimes). I think you would like it, and on that note, you should also read the manga for Pandora Hearts (written by the same mangaka)
One of the things I like about My Dress Up Darling is that Gojo might look like a typical otaku at first, but it's popular girl Marin who constantly ditches her school friends to go home and watch anime alone, while Gojo merely has a traditional family job. And both of them work well together because they are both honest and actually put the effort in to care about what their friends talk about.

if you close one eye, twist your head a little and drink an entire bottle of vodka
it greatly helps that the animation is absolutely beautiful in sono bisque doll. they somehow managed to make it feel like an oldschool anime with a new look at the same time. if the animation wasn't so on point this could have been a series people would have ignored.
At first you get hooked in by the booba, then you get hooked in by the chemistry of the two MC and at the end Gojo slowly walking out of his trauma is what makes it great imo. Gojo is a great character. He isnt a shut in because he's a pathetic loser. He's a shut in because he has deep childhood trauma. However he is still a kind, serious and hardworking guy and seeing him slowly walk out of the shadow of his past is great. Everything about his personality makes sense. His relationship with Marin makes sense. He feels like a real person. I think he is by far the guy that deserve his female MC the most.

Cloverworks is really doing a great job this season and their visuals and animation peaked in both Sono Bisque Doll and Akebi-chan adaptation. The anime and manga's art are both great in their own respective medium

Jokes aside, this was a great video as always. I’m really enjoying Sabukui Bisco which I probably wouldn’t have given a shot if it wasn’t for the reaction. Also that last section was wholesome
+1 on Saibuki Bisco. Been watching it since it dropped. It is SO GOOD. The crab and larvae kiss basically shows you what to expect. He does a good job showing the show without SHOWING the show. I’m excited

The battle style of the anime felt nothing like before. They don’t have a fixed solution to the enemies and situations they encounter, like demon slayer for example which is basically fight until u cut off the demons head or jjk which has a fixed process of the battle being “mc team kicks villains ass” or “mc team gets asses kicked but gojo shows up”
They use simple but interesting weapons and mechanics to find a way out and this, is the kind of shit I want to see, the kind of shit I am waiting for all my miserable life
