The issue ppl have with this is that epic can now charge anything for skins and stuff the new avatar skins bundle was more expensive then the invincible and tmnt skin packs which had more skins and backblings vs the avatar ones also they recently charged 1200 v bucks for a skin that has no backbling and 500 for a emote that would of been 200 v bucks a year ago

It's not even just because of the old players, rarities felt like the item was premium. Them removing rarities to make them more "simple" though they mention in their first initial tweet announcing the removal that they're keeping special rarities like icon series so you can easily find your favorites, acknowledging that rarity is also an easy way to organize said favorites. They're numbing down every bit of polish to be super simple then making Battle Royale players struggle more as they make unecessary changes that end up breaking things so they'll be unsatisfied and end up migrating to the metaverse side of the loophole. They've been trying to do that since 2022 but have failed multiplw times and now they're pushing everything they can to get people to accept their vision.
I miss the Fortnite when there was no Collab skins and they were all original. It felt more simple which was better. Now you run around ancient Greece as Lebron James and get 200 pumped by John Cena
Collabs are cool IMO but they’re literally cash grabs inspiring kids who don’t even know what the game is or even about to just buy them like they’re making people play their game for their skins not the game, not competitive game modes like Arena which was better than ranked because ranked ruined the way competitive is or was and tournaments. There’s also a problem and that’s the favor the pc because of how powerful it is. They need to make console only tournaments. They had the Console Champions Cup every month but where is it?!? They used to always put out dreamhacks but where is it? Fncs is basically World Cup but they do nothing and guess what cash cups you used to win money from your placements and how you performed well guess what now you have to qualify for EVERY TOURNAMENT because every tournament needs a finals according to Fortnite. There’s no ranked cups that give you percentage like hype cups they actually motivated you to play cups. Almost every pc player I ran into is 6-12 and they’re so good they play comp all day that’s literally against TOS they banned actual kids that did this because you have to be 13+ to compete and you can be a really good console player and be 20 but some little Timmy having every advantage over you wins but is literally breaking TOS and epic does nothing because obviously that’s undetectable. These kids can’t play any of the big tournaments because either LAN or interviews will happen and they’ll be exposed.

Here’s my opinion they need to bring back the old UI not only that they need to bring back the old loading screen where you could choose battle royale, creative, or STW. Then from there, if you click on creative, you could be brought into the list of creative maps like we have now but it has an old UI look. Then if you click battle Royale it will bring you into all the games made by epic like battle Royale, rocket racing, and LEGO and any game mode made by epic then you can click STW and it loads you into STW but that’s my opinion

The fact that BR is still by far the most popular, successful and well respected part of FN goes to show that Epic is fighting a losing battle with their whole “Metaverse” plan. Save the World, a game mode Epic LITERALLY ABANDONED averages more concurrent players than Rocket Racing and Festival respectively. Fortnite is a Battle Royale at its core and always will be. I hope Epic changes their strategy in the near future, but I doubt they will. Chapter 5 has shown they don’t listen to the community anymore, and Locker Rarity is just the start of FN’s downward spiral, I’m telling you.
