nah, its not THAT bad. i get 8-10 around town and 11-14.5 highway. but remember its got a 44 gallon tank ;) shes not fast by any means, but pulls hard and it all depends how you drive it. i drive the damn thing like a NASCAR! if you can get the jump on faster/cars and trucks its amazing what you can do. planning 4:56 gears soon, should help the off the line. i also upped the shift points to 5k after this vid.
Just imagine what it would sound like if it could reach 6,000+ RPM...... :-D Or if it had a DOHC design with 4 valves per cylinder, direct injection and variable valve timing.....
I have an 04 v10 6.8l 4x4 excursion here in arizona I friggin love it I fit a queen bed with lots of extra space for camping it has a higher tow rating then the diesel but I'm a single guy and want something smaller this is me advertising trades 🤣🤣🤣
@MsCrappants Because it sucked gas as if the tank had a gaping hole in the bottom, and very, very, very few people needed one of these ridiculous monsters. The expedition is big and can tow over 9,000lb, and that's without the new engines yet. Hell, even our old 03 (sold) Expy wit the 4.6L towed 8,500lb worth of Jeep and crap 1000 miles, over mountains and it was fine, if a bit slow going uphill.
for a gasser thats not to bad a 0-60 My 6.0L PSD X would put that to shame. 400+hp and a 0-60 of around 7-8 seconds...lol Love the triton V10 though. Makes a great noise and very reliable.

It does use fuel from the fuel tank. I would expect the gauge to move some on a full acceleration run. Inertia could possibly come into play also.

My friend borrowed one for a ski trip, he said he averaged 8 mpg when driving normally.
It cant see if my tank is full or not at my ram the gauge is just dancing around (left right repeat )

boy is that truck slow, but boy does it sound soo good. at 2,000 rpm it sounds like a 4.2 v6, but over 3,000 rpm it sounds like a damn Lamborghini

It does have DOHC, but the tritons aren’t renowned for being high speed engines, with that said I agree 100% that it would sound awesome
