I actually stopped mid recording because she was standing close right after that part. Had to make sure she wasn’t too much in frame 😅

I appreciate the continued content and your BASED attitude.
PSA, Radical Firearms, and Anderson are great budget/value based options for the ar-15 platform. Grovetec makes great slings and attachment points along with UTG (UTG PRO = made in the USA). Streamlight HLX PRO with pad for $130 is great value. IMHO for all of these with 1000's of rounds through each in 11.5" -16". Thanks again for driving the point that a person need not start with "gucci" setup. Cheers! - Godspeed

Thank you for watching! I understand everyone is working off of different budgets so my goal is to educate about a variety of options

I’m here to argue/debate. (In the good way.)
    1) Regarding optics the new concern I have the EMP burst. Scopes or the Meprolight M22 with tritium reticle are what I’m now focused on. I love red dots but when the EMPs are frying all electronics these red dots and illuminated scopes needing batteries are done. So iron sights and a good scope and reticle you don’t need illumination to see the reticle will be key. Good video. 👍

Thank you for watching! That’s a valid point but I hope we never have to worry about that. I have a variety of other optics that would be okay in an emp but I can’t say we’d be okay

You're planning for a 0.0001% scenario. The most likely scenario involving an EMP also involves a nuclear blast and in that case likely Armageddon. Just have backup irons and you're fine. Non nuclear EMPs have very short range compared to nuclear EMP. Either way, in the event of an EMP(nuclear or non) you have far more serious concerns than your friggin optic. Like for example--how are you going to get rid of waste? How are you going to stay warm in the winter? How are you going to get fuel? How are you going to get food and then cook that food? How about pottable water? You are nowhere near prepared for an EMP so getting optics based around this most unlikely of scenarios is silly.

I built a Ghetto Badger for under 800, and had a HBPDW lower. In 300 black out and a Surefire SPS, it’s freakin awesome.

That sounds like a sweet setup! I want the SPS so bad!

I try to buy my firearms used and the shop I used to buy most of my guns at always had way more used guns than new. I once bought a Russian Saiga AK 74...... that thing had more money in upgrades than I paid for the rifle ($450 ~10 years ago). It had a forearm rail, different stock and grip and a TWS dog leg top rail cover with a rear sight thing a ma jig on it. Some type of red dot if I remember right. with a midwest side rail. It is the only 5.45x39 rifle I own. I even once bought a mid level AR once that had a high end Aim-point on it at a Cabela's of all places. I think it was marked $850 and they knocked $100 off of it. That was about what the aim point was selling for then. I really wonder why people would put a lot of money into a gun and dump it for a fraction of what they have into it. I mentioned that to a salesman at a gun shop and he said quite often it's the big D and I don't mean Dallas. He said if you see a young woman pushing a cart full of guns into the store that most probably is the case. I only put money into a gun if it is for sure something I think it needs. And also something that you can take off if need be.

Yeah i've heard a lot of stories about dudes losing guns in divorces/break ups and also old widows selling stuff off. In fact someone I know is helping a widow sell a bunch of firearm stuff right now, it kinda sounds like the guy had a progressive press and if so ima buy that sucker. If not I'm just gonna buy a bunch of bubba's pissin hot reloaded 9mm.
Unfortunately the Cabela's near me doesn't seem to have such good deals on used stuff. I was in there the other day and they had a used Springfield Prodigy for $1050 which would be a bargain if the gun worked right. I rented one at a local indoor range and put 50 rounds through it and had 7 malfunctions. It shot so good though when it was working...it almost made up for the terrible malfunction rate LOL.
Used optics makes perfect sense. I bought a used ACOG TA31 RCO for $650. I Still have it. Tacswap, fb, arfcom, snipershide, all of these places have thriving used markets...

Must not be a good gun store to shop if they did not know D.D.

It's come a long way but the shop has always been a popular store to go to. We have one of the best varieties here in Az
