All I can hear during the swan topic is David yelling "A SWAN!!! A SWAN" in response to the leg warmers for a bird on WILTY 😂😂

Rich Hall coined the word "sniglet" and published a few books I read 'back in the day'. My friends and I had fun making up new words. The best was my friend John...."You know how when you're at the movies, walking to your seat with your popcorn in your hand and you flick your tongue out and grab a piece of popcorn.....corn-a-lingus".

@bedtimebanter A BIG THANK YOU from the US for taking the time to compile and upload these shows. I thought I'd heard/seen everything Mitchell and Webb had done (together and apart) but, incredibly, I never knew this program existed until you started posting these. It's as if there had been a missing piece in the puzzle of my life, and suddenly I am complete!! Thanks again so much.

when I was a child, we had Radio 4 on constantly in the kitchen, perportedly to deter burglars. This popped up and is very much inline with one of those things i wouldn't seek out but am more than happy and somewhat comforted to hear as a longtime expat

    I've invested in kidneys...
You can disguise kidneys into sausages..
You don't legally have to admit it's kidneys.

The most remarkable thing I learned today is that there used to be somebody named Clive of India.
That sounds like it might be the name of a very cheap perfume.

David (the Irish one) is acting like what Jon did , saying the next thing is true , is a new thing, been done many times before this series

David keeps claiming that when someone both gains and loses a point at the same time by buzzing two things one being true and one being false, that this made no difference and it's like noting happened. But he's completely wrong. It's still a slight benefit to the buzzing player. They deprived another player of 1 point at no cost to their own points. David's such a pedant about stuff you'd think he'd realize this aspect of game theory.

ann-tony vahn lay-when-hook is how we pronounce that. He´s quite famous and the newspaper just did a bit about him spinning in his grave for being mispronounced. There is no eu in that, like they seem to think is in every dutch word. Like koekje (cook-yah) which they managed to pronounce as a very passable "keuken" in a previous episode, which was then pronounced true, that "keuken" is the dutch word for "bisquit", it is not, that means "kitchen".. You can remember it as: while holland is in the E.U., there is not an e-u in every friggin Dutch word.. Most words are very easy to pronounce for the brittish when written foe-gnat-tickly. Drop me a line next time.

Miles Jupp is so annoying, I hate his loud, fake laugh. Also, swans are not dangerous and can't break human arms. For them to be able to fly, their bones have to be lightweight and although they can be aggressive, they can't do much damage.
