    In this month's Surrey Report, Surrey Real Estate Specialist, Steve Karrasch of Macdonald Realty reviews the February FVREB stats and compares average, median and benchmark prices in an effort to gauge the current temperature of the Fraser Valley Real Estate Market. As with every Surrey Report, the team also breaks down the February 2024 benchmark stats for the City of Surrey.

    Reform taxation: Put a capital gain tax on all categories of real estate (including principal ) in the meantime lower personal income taxes to encourage people to work harder, leave more money in their pockets and invest in R&D

    I'm not a realtor, I just live in Metro Vancouver, but generally speaking on any medium to long term outlook (5+ years), prices go up. The rate of increase may decrease or increase at times but in general prices go up and the new floor is set. For those looking to buy their first home, get pre-approved and get in as soon as you can once you find something that works for you (location, size, life style, etc.).

    Yup.
    Stock market is in a dangerous place right now, values reflect rate cuts that aren't coming.
    Once this is realized, look out!
    People are front running the cuts by getting into gold too early.

    We simply need to relearn the wisdom of the last century: to acknowledge that landlordism is the enemy of affordability, and to ensure that the housing economy is not defined by the staggering rental yields that our unregulated market can produce

    T/H sold in My complex March 2023 for 1 million 59 thousand dollars(executive type T/h over 2000 square feet) ,,tried to sell mine from May 2023-Jan,20/2004 (rated as nicest in the complex),best offer $940000 so
    this kind of prices you mention sound very strange to me?
