Steve Wilson bowled tremendous in this show. He showed mental toughness and executed shots when he needed them. It was tough to watch him lose in the tie breaker. I wonder if he still thinks of that nickle?
I have to say, Bo does look damn good at 51. It's nice when someone takes care of themselves when they are young and then it pays off later, good for him!
I have to say...been watching these old bowling telecasts and didn't realize how good of shape he was in. There was one thumbnail on one of those vids from the early 80s and it was Bo and his arms were stovepipes
I love Petraglias comment when Bo didn’t get the messenger on the 10 pin in the 8th frame... they call that slamming the dime chris, and he got about 8 cents, what a shame.
Steve Wilson: 256 Bill Oakes: 173 Steve Wilson: 246 Nelson Burton Jr: 218 Steve Wilson: 203 Del Ballard Jr: 202 Amleto Monacelli: 217 (40-39) Steve Wilson: 217 Monacelli Wins!
It's a shame Bo had to lose to a guy like Wilson, who couldn't make a spare on TV to save his life. I can't figure how that guy managed to win 4 times.
32:38 the bowling gods said 'because you're Bo fn Burton, here ya go' lol....
Saw monacelli bowl at the Showboat in Las Vega, so long ago. Good then, good now.
THE REAL ORIGINAL AIRDATE: SATURDAY MARCH 19, 1994.
Great final match.
Yay, Bo Burton made the telecast! :D

And at 80 Bo rolled a 300 game back in January
SEE YOU NEXT WEEK.
I was there. I can’t believe that was 25 years ago. I remember wanting amleto to win very bad!
i only have the intro on tape..i don't think at the time i knew he completed ..ever.. so it was exciting to him bowl.
and can you believe Amletto is still a winner in 2016? (DHC Japan Invitational)

Bill chOakes lost a squeaker.....by 83
Purple smoke?
Thanks for the video, but there are noises sound of some of the videos you uploaded. Can anything be done to correct?
Looks like Joe Firpo behind Bo around 5:00
I think I'd tear my knee up if I slid like Billy used too.
What about his slide?
Why did they refer to Bo Burton’s last PBA tournament win as the 1984 St. Louis Open? It was called the 1984 Angle Open.
Maybe 10 years later Angle open didn't mean much to anybody. Calling it the St. Louis at least lets people know where it was.
Was this Bo’s final appearance in the TV finals?
@@nyracingfan Yes
