Regarding VDJ vs Serato, I agree with you. It's like Nike vs Adidas or Android vs Apple. It's a matter of preference and people always want to be right.
Yes but the crowd doesnt care if they use they just wanna party
@@dembaba282 Absolutely right
Another great gig log. I started with VDJ as well and like you said, haven't been presented with a reason to switch.
That venue is dope brother! Setup is clean as hell too! Great job!
That convertible laptop layout is awesome!!!
Just ran across your channel, like the rig and setup looks good. I use VDJ same reason you do. I started years ago when PC djing was just becoming a thing and it worked for what I needed and I’ve stuck with it ever since.
Very nice setup. I like the Chauvet DJ Wash lights in top of the totems. I decided to do the same a week ago.
i love what u said about the software.whatever works for you! most of the time we see at others and be like "ah he is playing with this or that thus he is not a professional" . It doesn't matter. what matters is delivering a performance for your crownd and keeping them happy.Whether you are playing with virtual or serato or trakrot thats what matters!
cheers!
Great video.
I love my Maui 28G2s. For a small column array, they hit pretty well.
I love your event table I take it you made it huh looks awesome.
I started with PCDJ too. You are right gear doesn't matter.
Great job. 👍
Ran across this while searching videos on Virtual DJ and I noticed you're a KY DJ also. Cheers! I realized after seeing your video from the Galerie (I live in Versailles) and then started seeing all these other venues I'm at regularly. Just wanted to say hello. Throw Down Sounds Mobile DJ Co, DJ DruFunk.
Great video, it's true, use what works for you - software or hardware. The issue is more about when you have to use other people or standard "club" equipment... it's easier if you already know the setup. For those that only ever dj on their own stuff, it's not an issue to worry about.
Awesome video. I use virtual DJ myself because it’s simple for me. Just out of curiosity what kind of laptop do you use. I actually am using an iPad and would like to convert to a laptop. Love the way you have your system set up. I just picked up on your channel and I’m loving the videos. Keep it up! -djmike 🎤
i liked this video as soon as i heard PCDJ red!
I think I had 1,340 tracks back then. LOL. They were the ones that mattered though. LOL
Good video! Question. Do you have you Chauvet FX on sound mode? Everytime I put mine on sound mode they start lighting up even if there's not music playing.
nice gig log!! Love the white fx’s!! How do you mount them on those totems?
Great log. Where did you get the white scrim for the speakers. Thats 🔥🔥🔥 i was thinking about doing that but didnt know what it would look lik.
Dope set up, what all do you play on the tvs? I'm new with doing TV screen, I love the monogram, is that something you did??
Hi I just wanna use this for home use only with one controller. What license should I buy? I ain’t going pro or playing live gigs
I’m a VDJ user with Rane 1 user. Also have the pioneer sx2 and Roland 707m
Who sales speak scrims like that? Wow that’s amazing
I agree with you
I have a quick question about the adjustable totems. I know you’re not using a true moving head on top, but if you were, how would you counteract the totem from swaying? I’ve noticed the totem can be easily swayed, especially at a taller height.
I haven't had any issues with mine swaying. I use Intimidator Spot 360's.
Love your laptop and how you’ve used it, which model?
It's an Inn convertible laptop.
@Elite Events & Entertainment Can you please tell me where you got those white scrim covers for the Maui's? I need those!!!!
My mother in law made them for me.
@@djtravismcguire does she want to make some money?
where did you get the white skrim for the Maui's?
My mother in law made them.
Hey bro! I'm pretty new to the game. I have used VDJ from the start. I'm at a crossroads where I need to decide to stick with this or go to Serato.
I like VDJ what is the benefit of paying the $299 for the professional version?
Awesome set up btw 😀
The benefit to paying for the full version of VDJ is that you will never have to pay for it again. All updates are free (including when VDJ updates the entire software) and you don't have to buy additional expansion packs like some of the other softwares. People can argue this all they want, but the data speaks for itself. VDJ is the most powerful DJ software on the planet.
@@djtravismcguire awesome man! Thanks for the info 😁
Keep thr gig logs coming!!!!
I love Virtual DJ over Serato i have both subscriptions but imma VDJ Guy 4 life!!!
i have both but my personal preference right now is for Serato
Serato is a solid software.
Please can I know the kind of speakers you use as a setup
Those are the LD Systems Maui 28 G2's.
wonderful setup, where did you buy the white covers for the maui 28 g2? 😮
My mother in law made them.
@@djtravismcguire they are beautiful !
@@djtravismcguire does your mother in law what to make some money to create another pair for me ?
How do you void a warranty for receiving via the mail?
When they get it out of the box, the folks that ordered them from my post are taking them apart and painting them. That will definitely void the warranty. LOL
Which laptop is that? Beautiful setup
It's an Onn 13" convertible laptop. I bought four of them last year, but I think they are discontinued now.
I’m having trouble playing I’m songs on vdj
what state you in bro great content
I'm in Kentucky.
@@djtravismcguire thats what's up bro i am in The Tenn 615 Nashville area mainly a club dj but a lot of my bestfriends i started with switched to weddings and the setups nd gig logs intrigue tf outta me
Always buy Traktor 3 as a backup unless you need to playback video. Traktor has saved my ass when vdj has crashed, just my 2c BTW Traktor plays back mp4s audio but not the video.
Did anyone else notice that perfect 90° square looking cloud in the sky at 4:17 ?
I agree. The same song comes out of the speakers no matter what program you use.
Yup. And at the end of the day, it comes down to the ability and talent of the one using the software. You can train wreck a mix using any software.
which laptop is that?
It's an Onn 13 inch convertible laptop. They don't make these models anymore, but most companies make convertible laptops.
How are the maui been keeping up?
The Maui's are amazing. I'm getting ready to shoot an extensive review on the speaker.
I do to best software
Yup i know few peeps wont stop using it
Those the app you dj with really matter it’s about how good the dj is with equipment not the software the dj uses
I have both serato pro and vdj. Prefer serato way more. But each to there own.
Just asking what's ur main reasons for the serato preference?
@@kudamah ones a toy and ones a professional software Thats industry standard for a lot of clubs and bars.
@@djpineapple3156 ok... i get where ur coming from....
That what ur calling a toy has way more features than the other, which says to me which is more professional. An entry level controller only has so much options compared to a professional controller and the same principle applies in software.
VDJ today is not what it was 10 yrs ago... and i hv used it in professional environments and it held it's own. But that's my experience.
@@djpineapple3156 that's why I stick to VDJ! Never been to an event where VDJ didn't work with the setup and saw many dj with the toy software having issues galore, all in all, every person has their preference
Simple, men with they egos feel that serato n any other program is better than vdj but the crowd doesnt care what program your running they just wanna have a good time
The cult like mentality mostly come from serato users and mac users.... and they try (and hv successfully done so) to peer pressure the rest of djs to be like them.
virtual dj read all tipes of music formats and maybe can read the news paper too 😂 i love traktor but they can't not read all formats thats why i use virtual dj
imma keep it real if you can use one you should be able to use all[
That's very true.
