Thanks for the excellent tutorial! Although I'm still a beginner decided to try this project. This was my first time doing binding. I used 1 inch strips of WPC. It wasn't too bad at all. Can't wait to make another one :D

I love your tutorials. Other people who do live videos spend too much time talking to their followers and not really working. I end up turning them off. You just work right through. You make things easy to follow. Keep up the good work.

I would like to see you do a structured bag with denim and vinyl. I will keep watching and enjoying either way. Love 💕 everything you've shared.

Love this tutorial! I’m a perfectionist, but my favorite part is when you looked right in the camera and said, “It’s not going to show.” Thanks for making us realize it’s okay. I’m fine! 😂

For the longest time I refused to do bags with binding. It was just something that I absolutely hated bc I would mess up on them. So when I would see patterns that said “binding” & not birthing option, I avoided them like the plague. But then I did the Catalina Sling & it wasn’t so bad. After doing a couple, I had it down a lot better and felt more confident. Now I absolutely love it. I still struggle occasionally but I will say, I love how binding looks. It’s definitely worth trying and learning.

I agree with you clipping really helps. But why staple? Why not use small pieces of DST instead, if necessary? Also, I find using a stiletto really helps keep everything in place when going around curves. It acts like another finger that doesn't worry about getting too close to the needle. LOL Oops, I just saw you use it. And, I have been wondering, do you have a watch strap for every outfit? I find myself looking to see which one you're wearing. LOL. Beautiful bag! I look forward to your next tutorial. Thank you for sharing your talents!
UPDATE: I made this bag and what a fun make!! I used canvas and vinyl for the outside and waterproof canvas for the interior. I made it for a friend's birthday - but I really want to keep it! Thank you for sharing this amazing pattern.

Thanks Siah! It took me a day to get through but now I want to try the other Oro Rosa bags! I am a fan of using a stapler. I use an oyster knife (pointy tip) to pop staples: get right up to the presser foot then slip it off (those times when it would interfere w/needle) otherwise get them at the end.

Nice bag, your work is always beautiful! But I cringe at all that wasted vinyl- 2 layers of ostrich!- covered by a pocket. I thought the same of the crocodile in the Magdalena. (Was glad you didn’t use the 2nd time 😉)

So beautiful. You are a great teacher. Do you ever get creases in your vinyl when you birth the bag? I know that Decovil can develop creases during the birthing.
