I totally agree with the longsword being at #1.
I finished DS2 for the first with 2 longswords infused with fire and using power stance. This game has a very extense variety of weapons and attacks and that's why I love it so much!
Ds2 is my 1st soul game . I went through the whole game with the fire longsword +10 . Then i learned the ashen warrior sword +10 is the same sword with 300+ damage and 200+ bleed with the rings and it has a longer hitbox with the longer blade . Ashen Warrior is the best longsword then maybe possessed sword
I did that setup too! but I noticed that Dual-wielded Fire Longsword in general was doing very miniscule damage, at least compared to other people in PVP or in Summons, who did much more with just a single-wielded weapon. It got me to experiment and I set out on an extensive testing on Dark Souls 2 Souls planner with different Powerstanced Infused Straight sword setups and found that Varangian Sword infused with Dark (22str, 30/30 Int&Fth) has the best output of 420 effective damage per hand, effectively 150% of that powerstanced being 630 damage, second place being Heide Knight Sword, w/ Lightning infused or Blue Flame weapon infused with Magic, but both of those require much larger stat LvL investment, in either intelligence or faith respectively, to even reach similar number outputs of the Varangian sword, making it the most effective option of the bunch. There could be better Infused-Powerstance build setups out there, if I missed I'd love to hear it, but I think to surpass THIS would require either dropping Powerstance, Infusions or the weapon class.

He was healing the pursuer? I didn't even notice. I thought he could only heal himself.

I know it will sound silly but with a little bit of durability and scaling (and look) foot soldiers sword could've been a baldr's side sword of ds2. It is underrated man.

Honestly possed armor sword with Raw+10 or Fire+10 is extreamly solid sword, sadly no piercing moves but you got a giant fire straight sword that does a good amount of damage to non fire resistance enemies

The Sun Sword carried me from NG+ to NG+3. Pretty good weapon, cool looking
Looks like a piece of plastic tbh. Not that much shine to its steel, despite the name.
I usually use a longsword on a sorceror or hexer until I can get the silverblack spear. I've tried the silverblack sickle as well but it doesn't have good reach.

They buffed mc duff in sotfs cuz they put the dull ember in the start of the lost bastille
The Longsword is the best one, BEST moveset, and you don’t have to grind sunlight medals for only 30 extra damage with the same stats and a worse moveset.

While farming the sunlight medals, i realized & am convinced the falconer enemies are morrowind npcs. They (vaguely) look like imperial guards & their animations especially are uncannily similar to that "needa take a dump" run all morrowind npcs have. Didnt get 20 til about ng+12 for betwixt myself, soul memory sucks :/

I prefer the sun sword over the longsword because of one simple thing ... the sun sword gives you the ability to thrust with one hand while the long sword needs to be double handed. The move set to me is superiror in my opinion.
You heal the boss on purpose.. or because of lack of knowledge and ignorance. Most of the casuals don't know the healing pyromancy heal the boss as well. Not sure which kind you're.
I’m 99% sure he knows he’s healing the boss and is doing it intentionally for demonstration purposes.
