Thanks for the tutorial!!! So from what I understand, does metallicafan's editor replace the original game files? I want to install it (downloaded everything already) but haven't done so because I don't want to overwrite my original copy of the game....UnWorld's editor doesn't seem to do that though
Yes it does! Definitely make a safety copy of your original game before installing the Editor, otherwise you won't be able to play the base version anymore without reinstalling... Can't wait to see what you can do with the new editor 😀

i downloaded a map which has carpe retructum in it
when i went to the file there was something called ''Animation''
what should i do with it?
Just copy it over into the main game folder. To the same place that has all the other folders like "system" or "maps"

Hey Nixxo, does the new engine fix the problem that the game won’t boot on a modern os because of Securom? I have the original CD and Windows 11
Sadly I don't think it will because it's basically a patch you need to apply to an already existing installation of the game buuut I have heard that people on this Discord can help you with the Securom problem and to get the games going on your PC again: discord.com/invite/NwwXN6HVPR Have fun playing 🙂
after i installed the custom engine the launcher windows has become extremely tiny and i can't click on anything bc of it. do you have any idea on how i can fix it?

I had a hard time finding maps on hp-games, now I found one I have no idea where the download button or link is...

Yesterday I watched ur video and already use this with Metallicafan editor. Some files of map I can run and opened, they can be played. But I also tried to download the other game files of map its not running and cannot be opened. Can you pls help me? Because these some of the maps that are not working are my favs as I watched CZcams previously. Maybe you have teamviewer?
I also tried to run the HP1 maps but idk the editor is not working, I already download them too, but Idk how to run it too. And the maps are also my favorites :D
Heyy, are you trying to open all maps with the new Metallicafan Version of the game? Because a lot of them are just made for the base game without the editor so that might cause some issues. And the HP1 maps don't work with it for sure, those you definitely have to paste into your actual HP1 games.
Another thing I can think of, are the HP2 maps that aren't working made by Dmtry Lemon by any chance? He has the annoying habit of nothing always uploading all the required files to the same location so I uploaded all of the files for all maps im a folder here: mega.nz/file/JH0yAaaK#Te1-9kzDSjf142ZEAj_sC4qON_F02KHKbonEsj_6Jto Just dump all of them into their respective folders and the map should load! As a small word of advise though I would copy the base game once before doing that because it might have some issues with that in there...

I have Koops. The Koops one is not working :( I have to set the path when I opened the app then its not working at all when I have to locate the path to play it
My experience with HP1 custom Maps is very limited sadly but from what you explained it seems like you set it up properly... Maybe the matter just uploaded an incomplete map and it's broken or something like that?

So it worked well for me on the base game, but when I installed the Custom Engine it resets the User.ini in Harry evolved every time I loaded the game, so I'm not able to start the debugmode. Tried it with different keys. :o
(and yes I saved it before)
Update: I gladly solved it by finding the bdebug=false in the game.ini and changed it to true, so that debug is on from the beginning.
Weird tho, everything! you change in the user.ini from evolved is overwritten automatically with the default settings when loading into a map.
Hmm that is a weird issue indeed but thanks for posting the update on how you fixed it. The only thing I can think of is that something is funky with admin permissions in your Custom Engine installation and that Windows thinks you aren't allowed to make changes to the user.ini but I have no idea why it would be like that...
Wow, I didn't know they made custom maps for this game, that's cool. Is it possible to play in 1920x1080 rather than windowed mode?

i tryed playing dmitrys alohomora exam and it didnt work, it doesnt show it in the debug list, do i need to have a finished game for the maps to load? i copied the thumbnail too
No the game does NOT have to be finished in order for custom maps to show in the map list. Are you sure you actually copied the map (should be a .unr file) into the map folder of your game? Kind of sounds like it didn't actually get copied over to me. Either way Lemon maps can sadly be a pain to set up sometimes because he doesn't always upload all the files for them in one place for some reason, I have never heard of them not even showing in the map selector though...
@@Nixxo I did copy the map and the other things (thumbnail etc into the corresponding folders, I tried it with other maps from other artists too and it still doesn't show
@@ThanasisGS Do you have like 2 different versions of the game installed or something and are copying it into the map folder for the wrong version? That's the last thing I can think about really because that is weird
@@Nixxo i copied the version i had onto the desktop and tried to load the maps, i will try uninstalling everything a d load the maps from the main folder, after making a back up
