  • In this First Case of RealWorldEndo's Case Based Learning (CBL) series, Dr. Nasseh demonstrates an anterior tooth using the EndoSequence Instrumentation and Obturation system in a necrotic tooth #9 under an ill-fitting bridge.
This is a very easy, straight forward case that can be done by anyone, Dental Students and higher.

Question for you Dr. Nasseh, is it more difficult to retreat cases where BC sealer was used?

Not if you've used the RWE Hydraulic Condensation protocol. If you have. Then it's the same as any other retreatment using a solvent. If you haven't and your cone is way short, then you have to work a little more to get through the apical plug of sealer. But you can make the same argument for placing Inlays, onlays, or crowns. Should you cement our final crowns with provisional cement in case you have to remove them? No, we use a strong bonded cement to hold our restorations knowing we won't be able to remove them. We just have to make good crowns! The same here! :)
