Thank you Bob for all that you do for the mr2 community 😊
Thanks for the detailed instructions on how to do this replacement. Hopefully I get a chance to use it when I eventually get around to swapping in a GEN3/4 3SGTE into my 1990 G-Limited with a 3SGE.
Just about finished this on my 91 as well as replacing the resistor to make the tacho work with COP. Just a note that I chose to file down the white part of the housing where the turn indicators are, just a bit to get the gauge to sit flush with the others, it looks like you could also shave down the edges on the face of the gauge but I didn't wanna. Hoping that when I mock it back together it will save modifying the black part.
I think another good option would be just to clip a piece off of the needle in the boost gauge. That way if you want to do other mods like the chrome gauge trim you won't be screwed.
My hero just what I was looking for
Can you please tell me where did you get the white connector?
Hey Bob , could you file the needle on the boost gauge instead of the hole on the cluster?
yep, take an xacto knife and cut off a little bit of the end of the needle (put something underneath needle so you don't cut into the gauge face)
Very nice
your dash lights look whiter than my 91, which have a green hue. Are they modified or stock??
Rl Koller led sir.
Where can you buy these boost gauge's at?
Do you sell these omori gauges?? Looking for one that doesn't say JST on it.. The font is slightly different
IamtheMoth I order the one with the white needle from jst. And they gave me omori. If U order the red needle then it will say jst on it. Jst put their name over the omori unit. Jst=omori
Bob Pham cool good to know.. Thanks brotha!
IamtheMoth no problem. Anytime. Check out my ig BOBMR2. 😁
My red needle one doesn't say JST on it. Looks exactly like your white needle one except red needle.
