Just getting into Kruleboys as I’m picking up the army via the storm ringer magazine. Finding you’re videos really helpful. Have a bunch of models built and primed and looking forward to painting and playing them. It makes such a difference to get a heads up on how to get the most out of the army faction. I really appreciate the effort you’ve put in.
Really appreciate this content - keep it up! I'm excited to get my Dominion and Stormbringer models out of storage this summer and get Kruleboyz going as my next army project.
Just played in a 16 person RTT yesterday. Got 2nd went 3-0 with KB. I actually think we have a lot of counters to a lot of these books releasing. All the death books are mainly about save stacking or becoming ethereal. If we target prioritize correctly we don’t care. RD1 vs SCE, RD2 vs Soulblight, RD3 vs Gitz. A short version of my list was.. X2 sludgerakers, Skumdrakk, x2 shamman, Banner with tunnel, 1x9 boltboyz, 2x3 boltboyz and 3x10 hobgrots. I have actually come to the same conclusions as you pointed out in the video tho. I’m removing the 2 small bolt units and a hobgrot unit for a 20 strong rippas unit.
Glad the kruelboys are getting some love. I really like the models, but so far i only painted a warcry band. But i have build loads of boltboys and gutrippaz. Got the monsteds on sprues waiting grrrrrr
I have a question that may seem basic. For the third list, can you please explain how you include a Break-Boss in a double battle regiment? I thought only one large hero was allowed per regiment? TY, love the videos bud.
You can't. Looks like I made an error. I should really stop making lists at midnight :) Warlord it is! Hmm... that might make it bad. I'm jot sure how well 3 drops will do. I'd have to think on it.
@@MossDogAoS I came up with a list that includes a double battle regiment and warlords. However, this means sacrificing control over priority, a shaman, and 3 Boltboys. In exchange, you gain Break-Boss, Killa-Boss on a dog, and an extra trait.
I’m curious, so I’m still pretty new to AOS and very new to this army but I’ve been watching your stuff and slowly building up to a 2K list, but I wanted to ask if you think with gutrippaz being a little less awful these days if there’s any play for the hackas? I definitely think any reinforced units especially should go with stikkas but I think beyond that 20 spearmen mob and then a unit of hobgrots that maybe one unit with hackas just to kinda push a board edge seems like it isn’t awful. Maybe not optimized but playable?
Meh. They always want to fight in two ranks. The more models that can attack, the more mortal wounds you'll roll. If they came as 5, sure. But they come as 10, so spears 100%
@@MossDogAoS that’s a really good point and I definitely get it and agree now I was more just I guess coping for a niche use to squeeze like one more save through on the 3+ wounding haha. Well I suppose that gives a follow up question, do you think anything should/can be done to balance the weapon options?
I'm glad we got a bit of a boost and I'll look forward to trying this stuff out, but it still feels a bit like 'If all our stuff works then we MIGHT just stand a chance. We just have to roll a whole bunch of 6s and keep our fingers crossed'. Meanwhile the enemy is like 'Okay, 2+ to hit, 2+ to wound, 3 damage and you don't get a save. Take it off!' It still feels like we're paying way too much for our MW ability. Like GW expect us to have MW on a 5+ all the time and for it to always work. It's cool that our enemies don't get an armour save vs our poisoned weapons. There's just one small problem with that. We pay through the nose for that ability and we also don't get armour saves vs the enemy a lot of the time, since our armour is so terrible to begin with. And then you face off vs stuff like Nurgle or Slaves to Darkness that has a 5+ ward vs MW. That ability is not as valuable as GW seems to think it is. We still pay elite points for fodder units. Very fragile fodder at that. Easily our best unit are the Boltboyz and yet this unit needs to be buffed by a support character and be within 12" to do real damage and only has a 6+ save. It says a lot about the faction that this is our best unit XD Short range, fragile and very reliant on a character buff (which can no longer be used if enemies are near to either unit). This would be low tier stuff in any other faction.
Played a list with a unit of 30 rippaz and supa sneaky at an event last week and really liked it, but felt the list was lacking in damage. I kind of wanted to go lighter on shamans at the end to fit in another threat, but that list had gobsprakk
Shamans are the threat. They double the mortals from almost any unit. For 20 Gutrippaz, a poison adds almost 7 mortals. Trouble is getting a shaman to your Gutrippaz in time. I think what we are really missing is board control.

@@MossDogAoS it may be my newness but I don’t see what’s so good that the Vulcha brings beyond a Gnashtoof except a double order, but there doesn’t seem to be a lot of CP to use it a lot. Gnashtoof and a set of 10 hobs seems better value to me
@@SamHagley He brings slightly more damage, 4 more inches of movement, fly, 4 more wounds, and the ability to setup the Wagh better than any other model in the range. That being said, Gnashtoof is very strong. I should find room in my list for one.
Very new so may not understand. When you use Supa Sneaky, it has to be done before it’s decided who’s turn it is in the first battle round. What would you do if you set up your Gutrippaz and then the opponent gets first turn?
When youre deploying, you will know who will get to choose who goes first. If I know I don't get to pick, I will Supa Sneaky further back somewhere. Its another example of the counter-synergies our army has.
What do you think about taking 40 grot stabbas or shootas for screen? I also think that now weird’n trait and murknob are important since the new seraphon book came out. You don’t want to get bunch of d3 mortal wounds to your general and boltboyz at turn 1

Unfortunately I don’t think that any of this list can shift 18 stonetrolls, or those zombies and skeletons and vampires, or 30 boingrots, or lord kroak, or what’s there else in the meta. It’s sad
honestly are we good? Eh i think we starting to have more of a chance in games IMO. However again IMO to get wins with KB you have to play them perfectly, one or two mistakes and it is hard to recover. I think if they made the guttrippaz save a 4+ we be in a good spot. It be cool to also make super sneaky able to be done at anypoint in the game once per game vs just at the start of the game. upshot if we keep being at the bottom of the lits we should be in line to get buffed.

Automatic dirty tricks, +4 save gutrippaz and moving boltboyz without penalty. Then it might be a good army. The only option now is going big waaag!
