- In honour of pride month, we got 3 grandmothers to watch an episode of Queer Eye. If there's one thing we can learn from their wisdom is to accept love as love irrespective of gender and sexuality. Moral of the story: Live and let love.
Queer Eye follows the new Fab Five as they travel through Georgia, Atlanta visiting people and their homes, with the aim of transforming and improving their lifestyle. The Fab Five comprises of Jonathan Van Ness (the grooming expert), Tan France (the fashion expert), Karamo Brown (the culture expert), Bobby Berk (the interior design expert) and Antoni Porowski (the food expert).
Queer Eye: Season 3, now streaming on Netflix.
If atleast 50% of Indian grandmas thought this way, ours would have been a very different country
according to recent surveys, Indian grandmas aren't the problem, it is the rural uneducated youth
@@metalexprathamshah7471 possibly yes
loool grandmothers are not the problem. It's old Indian men who brought homophobic attitudes.
you wld be surpised to know its not just grandma's who has the ancient views n homosexuality
I think they do, actually. Indian Grandmas are so sweet.
"I don't really think about it because it is a fact of life"

Indian grandmas. As long as you're eating enough and respecting your elders they're fine
@brissa buddha yes. They feed you all the time and you gotta eat without refusal.
@brissa buddha lolololol my grandma's japanese and she makes me feed like.. a pound of food, shes so cute honestly :))
Who are these progressive grandmas? Why don't we have more them!!
I suppose very highly educated or rich upper class women. I wont count them as an average Indian grandma. Most of the Indian grandma wont be able to speak and understand English so well. Limited English comprehension skill is not a criticism!
Even my parents aren't this progressive, I want one of these!
Exactly
@@sauloncall When did knowing english become equivalent to being progressive?
If so the whole western world would not be still coming around to accepting homosexuality and LGBTQ+ rights.
I'm glad you clarified that it's not criticism tho.
Even in India, it has more to do with understanding the concept and just general compassion.
@@blorbofy since english education in countrys with other native language was very rare back in the days, as well as expensive (as it still is nowadays) only ppl that can afford these will have this skill= upper calss = educated -> higher chance to have a broader view and be more accepting of "new" things. Doesnt mean its necessarily so, just a higher chance.
In western societies its not that different. The more educated ppl are, the bigger the acceptance of lgbtq+ comunity.
"they have no other work, they go and clean other's houses?" " no this IS their work" AHAHHAHA that cracked me up so bad, also "he is lokking like raja baccha" Awwhhahahah

Things you didn't know you needed in your life but are grateful that they exist :
1) Queer Eye (obviously)
2) This video
I just adore this show so much. The episode with the trans guy? The other episode where the guy comes out to his step mom? They BROKE me. I feel like I have cried during every episode lmao
Aahhh you summed up my thoughts!

YASS, HONEY! ❤️
1)queer eye
2)progressive grandmas♥️
Things good gois don't know they need but are grateful that they exist:
1 ) LGBTQLMNOPT+++ (obviously)
2 ) (Diversity) (without which Europe will not survive)
3) Netflix
The grandmas are making me melt from the openness and adorableness.
I can't, they just make my heart so full.
Where did they find such chill auntys? Theyre usually really homophobic especially the older ones 😮 I love these three
Actually most of bigots I have met are younger. Older people may be resistant to change but they are usually softened by life and when they see you are in a spot, they help you.
Netflix shills. They say what they're paid to.
Actually, the city grandparents are pretty chill. It's the parents that get insulting.
No man grandmas understand you better than anyone other in family ,u might be not that lucky to have that good grandma ,that's why u r tellin
I'm thinking the same. I never find such people as a queerperson
"He is looking raja baccha" hahaha so PURE!
what’s raja baccah mean?
IKR! that cracked me up! 😺
@@annomaly751 it loosely translates to Prince

This is pure and beautiful. I really wish a day comes soon in Pakistan where we can love openly too. 🏳️🌈🙌
Best wishes to queer Pakistanis!
i also hope the same for Pakistan 🇵🇰 +🏳️🌈 !!
@Sr 😂 Dear islam is all about showing love and giving love
@Sr I don't remember mentioning PDA anywhere which by the way should be normalized because we aren't embarrassed to showcase violence, then why are we embarrassed to show some hugs and all.
@Sr ah yeah ! "Western propaganda " . Ok conspiracy theorist I do planning on travelling most of the world so will check out the West too . And don't hide homophobia and bigotry under the guise of "code of conduct " .
Christians should learn from what the lady said at 6:33
"Accept. Theres no darkness at all. Its Gods creation, and he has paved way for EVERYBODY"
Well any Christian that is hateful to LGBTQ+ is not being very Christian at all. Jesus was accepting and loving, not committing spreading senseless hate. That lady has the right idea! - A Christian who's pissed at the assholes giving people a hard time for being themselves and giving the rest of us a bad rap.
Im a bisexual Christian
I'm pansexual and Christian😁❤
I'm a pansexual ped0romantic Christian 💙💚💛💗
I dont think you should mix religion and LGBTQ..... i know religion plays an important role in one's life...but with or without religion..it's one's struggle to accept and come out...and everyone has their own story.... PLS DON'T MIX UP...
Always praying and fighting for progress, India. We still have such a long way to go. Love from Manila x
Love from India
I wish every grandparent and every parent was as understanding as them. I LOVED THIS. 😔💜💜
Hinduism doesn't really have anything against the LGBT+ community. It's one of the most open minded religions in the world. Most of the prejudices against LGBT+ come from Western influence which is really a shame.
Exactly! Look at our temples!
PREACH. This is so so true.
The problem is with Islam and Christianity. NOT US. sigh
and i oop
You're spitting bs now. Forget prejudice against lgbtq.. hinduism have most sexism against women than any religion. Widows wearing white for the rest of their lives. Never re-mary etc etc
Saying the prejudice against lgtbq comes from the west is stupid bcuz this whole pride month n the concept of it comes from there. How are hindus open minded? You r literally ridiculed of anything if you r anything of different from the society "norm". It's the west that is looked more as modern n open minded. India/hindus literally lives n believes in the cast system that is far from being open minded.
the title should have been "Indian WOKE Grandma reacts to Queer Eye"
"Number one, accept. And once you accept a thing, half of the battle is won at that time only." Profound.
Awww... this was absolutely darling to watch. I wept all the way through it - not for sadness, rather, I was deeply touched by all of their honest sincerity. Many blessings and continued hope for a better tomorrow. This video needs to be circulated!!!
I can't imagine how scarry it is to someone to come out to their loved ones and ended up being rejected. I won't ever face it because I'm straight, but I hope that one day, when I have kids, if one of them aren't straight or cisgender, that they feel safe and welcomed to be open with me. I'll love and support them unconditionably
Native grandmas need to be this open and loving 💛 bless any family member who just shows the love.
I could watch 5 more hours of this. These ladies are delightful.
I cried my eyes out on this.
WHERE DID YOU FIND THESE AUNTIES AND CAN THEY ADOPT ME PLEASE
Man this video needs more views.. Share it people
Those aunties are soooo cute and so loving and open minded 💖
i loved this, and all of them are so nice, heartwarming and open minded. We should have more people like this in india.
I'm a 75 year old heterosexual great gramma. I've never had a problem with homosexuality. I guess I feel like the one lady who said "I don't think about it because it is a fact of life." I've watched Queer Eye since it started. It was called Queer Eye for the Straight Guy. I've always enjoyed it. They not only help the people they are there to help, but they help the people who are watching the program. To my mind they are spreading a great deal of good. We need that.
i JUST started watching this show already and man am I hooked. I've never watched a more eye-opening, feel-good, endearing show.
I think the grandmas have found a new favorite show!
why is no one talking about how amazing their English is....
No.. I am not crying.. it's just eyeball sweat..😭
Damn sweaty eyeballs!!!
Damn my sweaty balls!!!
Love these aunties! We need more aunties like this! Such honest and open communication makes the world a better place ❤️
I loved that part where a grandmother's heart was so full that she had to speak in her mother tongue. 6:18.
"The very attractive man" haha me too!!!! antoni is beautiful
I wish I could meet each one of these beautiful grandmothers. We are so lucky to have them in our world.
I loved this SOOOOOO much!!! I teared up from being so moved and touched by the very open, loving, and accepting Aunties. We need more of this....Lets have more of this. The Fab 5 will unite the globe in harmony.
Oh goodness, this is so sweet! The aunties lived long enough to become wise, it seems ^.^
I also came out to my sisters 💜💜 They are the best.
Though I am scared to come out to my parents.
It's okay. Just tell them, I'm sure they'll understand afterall, they are your parents.
More power to you.
Hey,even if your parents take some time to process it, they will come around eventually. Their love for you will always remain and nothing you say will change that.
Wow damn! Congrats! I told my sisters I am bisexual and they were just so nice about it. I love them.
@@purnimamalik7285 I know you mean well but people get kicked out the family and their houses for this. Or much, much worse. I think every lgbtq+ person should do their own risk assessment and see if they can come out safely and only then do it. It is not worth risking it otherwise. Coming out is important, but protecting yourself from an unsafe environment is more so - way more.
In your own time :) you'll know when it's right. Your sisters know and will love and support you in the meantime!
Good to see some commendable content from India, love and peace ✌️
This was so touching and emotional. I'm a mess.
Also Antoni is the MOST attractive one for us all. All of us Indians have a type.
