    After 300 videos..finally somebody explained why you stay center especially when you pump to get on the foil.. turning into the wind slightly will help keep you at 90 degrees. Having a background in wind surfing I was making the lawn chair miatake because when i got up on the foil my heals were digging into the board and bam..you go down. Thanks so much for this fundamentally important info!

    I am exactly the same as this coming from windsurfing, boom drive it up and then skew it up!

    Darn! I come from windsurfing and that is exactly, what is happening to me! Now I know why.
    Thanks a lot for your explanation.

    Fascinating. From teaching slalom windsurfing in 1987 to this! Not giving up on wind propelled sports. I take off my hat to you, not yours as you seem to still wear it gracefully. Thanks!

      Thank you Claude! We have a lot of wind here on Maui. It is a great place for wind sports. Wing foiling is the best water sport ever. Come to Maui and experience it.

    Great video. From a safety angle, one might say it should be mandatory for everyone starting to foil (as it also applies for windfoiling, SUP foiling and prone foiling).

    Thanks, great video! Is Duotone experimenting now with this handle system you are using? Looks similar to cabrinha, which seems like a good option between booms and handles to me :)

    What happened to SUP foiling on Maui? Don't see videos of it since wing came out. Are the crew still out SUP foiling or too lazy now that the wing has evolved? Different size boards required?

    dan, as i watched you bring the wing over your head during the gybe transitions,, have you heard of many rotator cuff injuries doing this? what would you recommend to avoid rotator cuff injuries, as far as motions in gybing.

      @alancadizwingfoilinginstru2926  Před 2 lety +2

      I have not. Wing foiling is a physical sport and yes arms are often overhead. IF, you have a range of motion problem I would suggest starting off in light wind to test your ability. Only you can answer that question. Alan not dan
