    Hi. Great review. Question. Car you run more than one at the same time without the controllers conflicting?

    • @MetroHobbiesAus
      @MetroHobbiesAus  Před 2 lety +6

      You sure can!
      You just have to make sure you turn on only one car and one controller at a time to pair them. Then turn on the second car and the second controller to pair and you shouldn't have an issue.

    Does the speed-limit function purely limit top speed, OR does it modify the throttle response curve to give softer acceleration?

    • @MetroHobbiesAus
      @MetroHobbiesAus  Před 10 měsíci +1

      Hi Simon, The speed limit function doesn't change acceleration/throttle response -just limits top speed

      @@MetroHobbiesAus interestingly however, I've had different answers to this question, both from other MH staff, and from a friend who owns one.
      But I guess it is something subtle.
      I'll find out soon enough! (Bought one for my son's birthday - from MetroHobbies)
      Thanks!

      @@MetroHobbiesAus well after owning this one for a few weeks, I can say it DOES (somehow, whether directly or indirectly), affect the throttle curve.
      It isn't profoundly different but it's still 100% noticeable - with the "top speed limiter" turned to minimum, the whole acceleration curve is softer - much easier to learn for my little guy.
      @metrohobbies - can you please correct me if I'm wrong? Maybe grab one out and test it and tell me what I'm experiencing if it isn't throttle curve changes? Because it sure feels like it.

    Should I buy the Slyder or the Warrior? Which one would you recommend?

    • @MetroHobbiesAus
      @MetroHobbiesAus  Před 7 měsíci

      Hi there! It really just depends on what look and size you are going for. The warrior is a little larger at 1/12 scale than the Slyder at 1/16 scale. There are more options for colours and styles in the Slyder. They are otherwise both fantastic cars and you can't go wrong with either :)

    Question: I got mine and i usually use my laptop to charge it up however i do have a power brick that i want to charge it with, whenever i am charging with the power brick the charger gets a bit hot, should i still be charging with the power brick?

    • @MetroHobbiesAus
      @MetroHobbiesAus  Před rokem +1

      If it is getting hot, best not to use the power brick, stick with your laptop :)

    • @simonwood8637
      @simonwood8637 Před 11 měsíci

      Or use a 5V 2A supply. Your power brick is probably trying to push out more, and your laptop probably isn't outputting enough?

    What is run time of battery’s on full charge?

    • @MetroHobbiesAus
      @MetroHobbiesAus  Před 2 lety +2

      Thanks for your comment!
      The run time is approximately 15 minutes, which does vary according to the speed at which you're running the Slyder and the terrain on which you're running it.

    Can you fit the wing to the MT?

    • @MetroHobbiesAus
      @MetroHobbiesAus  Před rokem

      Hi there! You could, although you would need part numbers BZ540048 and BZ540072 (Wing, and mounting screws). The wing is not designed to work with the MT body, it would need to be cut to make room for the wing.

    • @MetroHobbiesAus
      @MetroHobbiesAus  Před měsícem

      The voltage used by the LED lights is minimal and will make an immaterial difference in run time.

    • @MetroHobbiesAus
      @MetroHobbiesAus  Před rokem

      Hi The Captain, that doesn't sound right, the battery shouldn't take four hours to charge, usually it will flash until it is fully charged then be a solid light. Best to reach out to us directly at support@metrohobbies.com.au if you haven't already and we will see what we can do to resolve this for you.

    Battery life?

  • @chrisloweth5095
    @chrisloweth5095 Před rokem +3

    Please please do not plug the USB charger into a PC USB port. Computer USB ports only provide 500mA of current. The USB charger has a sticker that states the input requirements are 5V 2A!! You will NEED an old phone or other charger that can output 5V and AT LEAST 2A. The 5V is important and vital your chosen old phone charger outputs at this voltage. Your chosen phone charger sound provide AT LEAST 2A of current. It can provide more as the charger will take what it needs, however it must be at least 2A otherwise you risk the charger overheating.

    • @simonwood8637
      @simonwood8637 Před 11 měsíci

      I wondered about that too. I appreciate battery health practices / trickle charge, but if the inverter is expecting 2,000mA then that's what its been engineered to operate optimally at, right?

  • @sammy61187

    • @MetroHobbiesAus
      @MetroHobbiesAus  Před rokem +2

      As much as we would love to help out, unfortunately we don't have any battery upgrades on hand for this vehicle due to the size of the battery tray. To extend the run time it might be best to stock up on spare batteries to swap out and therefore extend the run time.

    Hi, having an issue turning on my sons car after a couple of uses
    Batteries all fine and cannot see anything obvious
    Once I press the on/off switch the front lamps flash but then nothing
    Any advice would be greatly received
    Thanks

    • @MetroHobbiesAus
      @MetroHobbiesAus  Před 2 lety

      We're so sorry to hear that!
      We would recommend turning the car on first, then the radio. If the car is still having issues, it sounds as though there may be an issue with either the receiver or the radio.
      You're welcome to reach out to us directly and we can look into repair or warranty options for you. support.metrohobbies.com.au/support/tickets/new
