Option - Command - Down Arrow 🤯
Yep yep! And option-command-up arrow will bring your clip above the primary storyline and leave a gap clip in it's place. Also an extremely useful shortcut that I use in every edit.
Hey Dylan, Please make videos/series on, How to edit video like Ali Abdaal in Final Cut Pro. cover every single thing, editing style, stock footage , sound , plugins. trust me these kind of video is much needed among new video editor.

Thank you! When I delete my B rolls (above the main story line,) it always leaves a gap, whether I hold the tilda key or not. Is there any way to close the gap?
Select those b-roll clips and hit Command G to group them. Now those clips will have magnetic timeline properties, so when you delete one, the others will suck in 😊
Great video thanks again. Can you do a video showing us how to use the motion array plug-ins? They are not always the most straightforward to use.
I don’t use Motion Array for their plugins (there’s not a ton for FCP and they’re not high enough quality) but I do love it for everything else. So perhaps I’m not the person to make that video 😅
