Good work maza a gya kargari dekh kr ❤
I always enjoy this guys work, he's one of the best all around machinists. The way these trucks are overloaded it's a wonder any of them survive.
been watching this guy using the lathe for a few years. He's good.
Yes the work isn't to the standards of some people. But when a job need s doing these guys come up with the goods. Even the A-team cannot match these guys.
i disagree. just buying a nex shaft is faster, cheaper, les polluting and energy consuming. the old shaft can easily be recycled . I think they just did all this for fun and youtube views
I love their ground benches. Level , tidy no dirt , yeah right.
You did a really great job on that axle !!!! 🙂
Nice works Bro. Greeting from Indonesia..
Man you are a master mechanic. Heads of you.
That weld wil fracture in no time once torque is applied and the thread and more movement to tighten.
I don't think so, it has a double thread that generates resistance force exponentially. A very tight screw does not always break, it can break the tool and remain strong
I’ve seen these folks do many of this type of repair, one would think that if it didn’t work they’d stop using this procedure. I worked at an International Harvester dealership for 20 years and we welded a lot of moldboard plow axles back together it worked so we kept welding them. If theirs broke all the time they would stop welding them!
I love to watch these guys, they do very good and professional work with normal backintime tools, hats off to you guys, you bring back the dead to life, lol
Thanks
Don't know how that repair is going to handle the torsional loading it will be subject too.
What bothers me is the large reduction in effective c.s.a. at the non- welded thread portion...why such a large thread dia., as it is only for axial alignment ? Torsional load is of the essence, not tensile..imo😮
In that part of the world they've been doing it for years like that and they have no issue. So it'll work
@robertovaldez7082
It'll work up until the point that it fails once again. Compared to a factory original axle, this one will be much weaker, which doesn't bode well considering that the factory axle wasn't even able to handle the strain.
You are the man for the job you do very great work I give you five stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ love to see more
Brilliant video I’ve watched this guy many times making/ repairing engine parts he’s a master of his own craft 👍👍

Nice work I love its
Great works ,one of a kind I have seen . I would love more posting of these works..
the pipe wrench on the spline really made me wince b
Vcs são feras.

Why would he put a 36" pipe wrench on the splined portion of the axel? Instead of on the barrel?
Why take the chance of damage or chipping the splines?
Was thinking the same
Was the lathe operator watching him weld ??
Bhai ap sa baat krni ha
That is hardened steel, the pipe wrench will not grip on the smooth surface.
Excelente trabajo 👌.
Very good job 👏🎉
Hello, I suggest you use a video stabilizer to post process your wonderful videos. The camera is continuously moving and vibrating, making me a little bit faint when focusing it. Very wonderful content. Just hope improvements on showing. Thanks!

Master class 👍👍
Gosto ver ele trabalha bem feito trabalhando dele Brasil
I like those hand cut splines , not the first time that shaft has been repaired
BRAVO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice work. I really admire your ingenuity and skills. Using the die grinder as a cutting tool is ingenious.
where did they use a die grinder?

Nice job 👍 shit nice way to resolve a problem solution thanks for the teaching
The cutting style is unique 🎉🎉
EXCELLANT work skills, artistic. craftsmanship.

It broke because those hand cuts splines on the inner end of the shaft is not centered or concentric, causeing it to fatigue crack the axle in the first place. No need to repair it it will just break easier now that you threaded the shaft back together lol.
The "threads" that he 'hand cut' were 'centered' and 'concentric'....that is not the concern here..please see my other comments.
@@malcolmleighton2609 I said splines, not threads pay more attention when you are looking. The inner splines are hand cut. There was a previous repair to the shaft before it ever broke.
Sorry....please refer me to the previous repair.@@RichardHeadGaming
You said.. "There was a previous repair to the shaft before it ever broke". So you are saying there was a repair BEFORE it broke, that is quite some smart engineering..🤣 @@RichardHeadGaming
@@malcolmleighton2609 look at the video instead of flapping your fingers on the keyboard, if you can not see the horrible splines on the shaft there is no helping you understand.
❤Amazing❤👍👍👍👍👍❤
Great job.

Have your welder put on a bit more metal. you are weakening the axle by trying to clean it up that way add metal to the welds and you won't have to reduce the axle diameter to clean it up.
Thanks, 70 something machinist.
Since there isn't any solid connection at the bottom of the threaded holes, I doubt that axle lasts until it's first overload. Threads should have been as small as reasonable so that there would have been a larger solid (welded) connection.
Outer welding has more leverage as the main force is a twisting force. Adding more weld area to the center won’t add much torque as it does not have much leverage does it!?
@@Channel-tr1hxWell, yes it does. Ask a metallurgist, or me. Not only do you have a weak spot at the bottom of the threaded hole, it's also adjacent to a threaded coupling. Any tortional load twist in that area has the outer thread climbing over the internal thread expanding that area. It's a failure waiting to happen.
@@Channel-tr1hx You are basically correct..BUT..what this repair has done is to REDUCE the pre existing c.s.a....a bad move.
Btw..if you Google the formulae for torsional loading in tubes versus solid shafts, you will get my point.😏
@@Ico57 This is why it is suggested that the thread diameter be as small as possible, as it’s only to keep the axle in alignment. Basically as is, it’s a tube. It looses a large amount of its strength due to its absence of center material. Any additional thickness of the tube wall greatly improves its strength.
@@Ico57 Of course I'm much less worried about the weld than the length between the weld and the end of the threads. Threads are purely an inclined plane, and this area is nothing more than a tube.
Luar biasa mantap cara ngelas nya👍👍👍👍
It would be nice if we could get a report back on how this repair either stayed fixed or broke again.
If the same level of torsion is applied to the part, then it is bound to fail as the effective load bearing c.s.a. has been substantially reduced in 2 places...he needs to go to college imo.*
It broke again due to the hack hand cutting of the inner splines not being concentric, fatigue cracked the shaft. It has no choice but fatigue crack again even easier now that they did not get full pentration fushion of the shaft.
He has reduced the c.s.a....effectively creating a tube x 2..formulas apply ..it will re fail.
It probably came unscrewed on first loaded back up.
I am sill trying o understand what you mean by "again"..please be specific & unambiguous...you speak like a mechanic & not as someone with an engineering degree methinks...🤔,@@RichardHeadGaming
