    I don't buy floormats to increase the look or styling of my car. They are for one thing and one thing only - PROTECTION! Seems to me Tuxmat has the best protection hands down. Easy choice for me! Thank you for the great comparison video :)

    One of my friends has a taxi with tuxmat installed and he loves it and take me it really durable and easily be cleaned. He doesn't have to remove the mates though. Just vacuumed and clean with wet cloth or can put second small carpet top of it.
    I am going to order one now.
    Thanks for the video.

    The MAXPider 3D will relax and lay flat. The issues you saw were because they were bent in the box. That goes away in a short time.

    I bought the all weather mats from the Tesla website and LOVE them!!! No weird smell, fit perfectly, easy to remove and clean, and they have the beautiful Tesla logo on them. :D

    • @EveryAmp
      @EveryAmp  Před 5 lety

      They do look great, but they don't have the coverage of the MAXpiders or TUXMATs. Though, it's great that we have more options now to fit everyone's needs.

    I want the tux mat shape and fit, but in a solid rubber or something like that, more flat and more flat color wise. With removable carpet inserts!

    I've had the 3D Maxpider's for a few years now and simply love them. Recently pulled them out of my car to give them a hose down and they came nearly perfectly clean even the drivers mat which at this point was pretty dirty with lots of seemingly ground in grit. Thought I would have to soap and scrub them down but not at all, rinse with some hot water got them nearly perfectly clean.

  • @ErikHarris
    @ErikHarris Před 5 lety +2

    I picked up a set of Maxpider's, and at first, I didn't like them. The fit seemed really bad... but as others noted, they relax in time, and they fit REALLY well after a few days. They're a little expensive, but I'm definitely glad I bought them! The mats that come with the Model 3 are really pretty terrible. Even our $13K Elantra had much better OEM floor mats than Tesla's Model 3 mats (which apparently don't even come with the SR+ model, but hey... if anyone with an SR+ really wants the OEM mats, I'd be happy to sell mine for a fair price! I made them sound so appealing, didn't I? :D )

    Great video. I got my email today from Tuxmat that my mats have been shipped. Cant wait. I original ordered the Maxpider but I cancelled the order and went with the Tuxmat. I just think that they are better quality and better protection. I actually like the Tuxmat look. They look very expensive.But they are similar in price with Maxpider.

    • @EveryAmp

    I went with the Toughpro. I thought it was sporty and good value. I wish it had more of a lip...so we will see. Didn’t like the Tux mat.. maybe too thick and masculine for my taste. Nice Video - do you think you could add cloth Mats on the TuxMat. I like the coverage but want something simpler for the looks. I'm think regular mats on top of the TuxMat might be a good option?

    • @EveryAmp
      @EveryAmp  Před 6 lety

      Possibly, but it doesn't sound very ideal. You'd need to account for the extra material behind the accelerator pedal and make sure they're attached some way so they don't slide and bunch up. Many cases of "unintended acceleration" have been caused by stacking floor mats.

    Thank you for your video! I have one question about TUXMAT. From your link on Amazon, the floor mat pictures are for a traditional car if you look at the middle of the back row. Is the TUXMAT set from the video bought from this Amazon link or another website?

    • @EveryAmp
      @EveryAmp  Před 5 lety +1

      For the video, I had to pre-order the mats from TUXMAT directly and pay extra to ship them from Canada. You're right that they're using generic photos on their Amazon page (which is dumb on their part), but since the store is TUXMAT and not some generic reseller I'm confident that it is correct for the Model 3. If it's not, Amazon will make them cover shipping both ways to make it right. Amazon is tough on sellers like that.
