While visiting family on the island of Oahu, Hawaii, we spent a day exploring the rich heritage of the Pacific Islands at the amazing Polynesian cultural center. We wandered through 42 acres of tropical splendor and enjoyed the adventure of traditional hands-on activities, exploring cultural buildings, a boat ride, and entertaining shows. At dusk, Mr. Martini and I dined like royalty at an authentic Polynesian luau while watching the most spectacular show of song, dance, and tradition. I have been to the Polynesian Cultural Center twice, and I loved it both times. Once as a teenager and another with my daughter when we went to Hawaii for one of her dance competitions. It is still one of my favorites. You can't beat it for entertainment.

And yes they even had a roasted whole pig they carved from. Someday I will make it to Hawaii for sure. Definitely on the bucket list.

This looks awesome. What a cool way to be immersed in Polynesian culture. It would be fascinating to be shown how to do many of these cultural traditions. And the luau looks like an amazing way to end the day. I have to remember this place when we finally make it to Hawaii. Our plan is to go in 2024. I am hoping that works out.
