there are no chimes on the drum , what you are calling chime is the seam and it is a triple seam for 205L drums. The things you call hoops in the middle of the drum are call swedges The chimes and separate galvo rings that go on the seam at a later time And the press doing the top and bottoms is called and blank and draw press then they are curled and and a sealing compound added then and the flangs are put in to the tops and after that they go on the drum. you need to do more homework on steel drums you got alot wrong ..

I saw the same mistake. I worked in a drum plant making 55 gallon drums. On a slow year we produced over 1 million drums. Where did they get 20K/ yr?
