- Welcome back for another Game of Thrones and House of the Dragon Season 2 video. In this video, I will be talking about the leaked scenes and outline for House of the Dragon's second season. These leaked scenes are from House of the Dragon Season 2 Episode 4, The Dance of the Dragons, or the Battle of Rook's Rest. These scenes involve King Aegon II Targaryen, Aemond Targaryen, Rhaenys Targaryen, Ser Criston Cole, Gwayne Hightower, Daemon Targaryen, and Alys Rivers! This episode will mostly focus on what happens at the Battle at Rook's Rest, when Aegon II Targaryen, his dragon Sunfyre, Aemond Targaryen, and his dragon Vhagar, fight and attack Rhaenys Targaryen, and her dragon Meleys! Unfortunately, this is when we will see the death of Rhaenys Targaryen and Meleys. King Aegon II Targaryen and his dragon Sunfyre will be injured during this battle as well.

That is not a coincidence that they showed how Aegon humiliated Aemond in the previous episode. It's like a clear explanation why Aemond can decide to turn his back on his brother.

I think what happens is that when Aemond finds Aegon burnt and broken he tries to “put him out of his misery” and then Cole stops him. I doubt that he was entirely doing it to be merciful though!

They need to have Sunfyre nearly killed with Aegon burned/disfigured. Something that puts him out of action and lets Aemond take over. The scene with Aegon bullying/humiliating him last episode was foreshadowing to Aemond just watching to see if his brother gets killed before moving in with Vhagar.

Last ep wasn’t great, it had 1 or 2 pretty bad scenes, but aside from that I loved the twins deaths and everything else has been pretty great.

Hope they don’t mess it up like Blood&Cheese, but I’m not that hyped up any more, better keep your expectations low and maybe get pleasantly surprised. Don’t like the dragons getting hurt or end up dead though. Sadly we’ll see Sunfyre in all his glory for a couple of minutes, such a bummer.☹️

I am more curious how the dragon fight will unfold knowing Meleys does go up against both Sunfyre and Vhagar. I hope they keep it true as the book source seeing Meleys full attack mode, I loved seeing the swiftness in Meleys movements when she flys. Maybe we will seeing Meleys using her flames in defense mode against Vhagar before she full on nearly kills Sunfyre?
maelys running would be very disappointing… it is said in books that dragons only know one mode: attack. this would go against a lot of established lore.

As much as I do believe that event is probably gonna be a great season finale, it just feels so early to have that happening only in season 2. Season 3 is gonna be a hot mess if that's the case, only bad things happen to the blacks after that.

I wonder how they will adapt Aegon’s burn injuries. Curious if they’ll do what they did with Tyrion as the effects of prosthetics can be a lot to do for entire seasons.
He will be replaced by a stunt double. Aegon's actor only has a few scenes after this episode this season. The actor will only be in the show during close ups.

Show Aemond carries grudges and is the type seek revenge and so I can see Vaegar attacking Sunfyre, easily. This was shown with Lucyrus and his dragon. Aemond always has a veneer of self control but there is something just waiting to explode into violence.
Watch the battle of rooks rest animation. I believe Aemond is going to dracarys descend on Meleys. Rip one wing off and then her head. All while dropping her weight onto Meleys.

i think they were setting up Aemond wanting to be King, instead of Aegon for quite some time, my prediction would be that Somehow Aemond would be responsible for Aegon's injuries as if in he could've helped his brother or prevent him being hit that badly, Hance allinging with the book, and then Aemond takes control of pretty much the realm in Aegon's name.
But i think they would make it as if Aemond intentionally let Aegon being hurt so he could take his place that would answer the whole set up they were building, this is not how the book goes and in the book there is nothing that indicates that Aemond wants to be king or thinks he should be. and that scene where Aegon mocked him last episode is also nowhere like their whole relationship is very different on screen, than in the book.
And I'm also surprised this battle would happen in episode 4, as i expected it to happen at the end, if they are going for 4 seasons that would mean perhaps they would go beyond the dance of dragons well into Aegon (Rhaenyra's son) ruling that's the official end of it and id be very happy if they go that far.
4:09 Aegons convo with Larys foreshadowed this. Larys says the rumor that Alicent and Aemond will rule while he is off to battle. Aemond wants the throne for himself.

How is it better ? I expected more buildup to secondary characters like Bloody Ben, Jace, and others. But they decided to give Rhaenyra and Alicent 80% of the screentime. How come nobody notice ?
@@amir6885 It's just better TV, not necessarily a better adaptation. Not jumping forward in time between episodes lets the character drama be more complex. Episode 2 especially felt like classic GoT.
If Aegon does get mortally wounded and begs Aemond for a mercy kill, Aemond might not show him mercy and instead allow him to suffer because of how Aegon has been treating him. Maybe then it will force Cole to either follow his kings command and kill him or disobey his king to try and save him for Alicent.
Cole gonna definitely save Aegon. No frikkin way he is gonna be mercy killed, plus Aemond doesn't want to be a ruler that badly although he prepared for it all his life.
@@maximumpotential3796 I don't know about that. Aemond literally tells us that he thinks he should be the one to succeed Viserys instead of Aegon. Now with Aegon burned he can assume the command of the Greens.

I suspect that Aemond doesn't really care if he becomes King or not. Aegon is a foolish person and Viseyrus was correct that he should never have been King. If the two brothers I would say Aemond is far more dangerous. Vaegar is feeding on Aemond rage and desire for violence. Aemond Dragon bond isn't strong enough to stop the dragon acting on his rage.

Sunfyre and Aegon both live. Aegon is badly burnt from the blast of fire from Vhagar and Sunfyre nearly has his wing ripped completely off from the fall. Rhaenys and Her dragon die tho. Vhagar tears Mayleas head off and Rhaenys is also badly burnt from Vhagars blast and dies in the fall. The only thing that stops Aemon from finishing Aegon is Cole arrives just in the Knick of time. Aegon is going to live all the way until the end when he kills Rhaenyra

this show is missing the humor aspect that game of thrones had. it’s too serious and dark. like tyrion lannister jokes, the fat king from season 1 who was always laughing, tyrian’s swordsman was humorous…

Vhagar and Meleys have a fight at rooks rest... There was a scene in a trailer rhat Vhagar and Meleys coming opposite each other in the sky... I Vhagar Vs Meleys fight will be more interesting than Sunfyre vs Meleys...
Vhagar and Meleys used to be companions. Their riders were Balon and Alyssa Viserys and Daemons Dad and mom. I think Vhagar would also rather burn Sunfyre more than Meleys because they have a connection.
You probably think so but the only dragons with a connection here are Vermithor and Silverwing.
@@whoschach I didn’t omit them from that. I know they do. A stronger and longer one than Vhagar and Meleys, Vhagar also has a connection to Caraxes since Daemon was with Laena while she had Vhagar. There are lots of dragon connectionS but Vhagar has been around since the conquest so has a connection to more dragons.
