    "I would die for them." "My whole day is just them. Day in and Day out."
    What makes DM so big?? "Their Words, rhytm, uniqueness. They make you feel like you're part of the band. It's a More intelligent music." Thumbs up if you agree!

      the tour's name was World Violation. the word "tour" cannot be found on one single poster. it's just something the internet came up with.

    I remember seeing this on TV 20 years ago. I was in awe of them - they were the biggest band in the world at the time

    Oh my God, that was such an amazing evening! One of the best concerts I ever went to. Remember the massive food fight that broke out before DM, that inflatable love-doll that took a swan dive off of the upper deck, NItzer Ebb being so incredible loud, and that giant banner that someone draped over the edge of the deck that said "J Marr plays rad guitar," lol! I didn't want to go home that night.

      I went to the second night, and dont remember a food fight. Wasnt the infamous food fight at the Rose Bowl?

    • @gregs76
      @gregs76 Před 4 lety +4

      patobantan420 hi. There was a food fight at the Rose Bowl, yes, but there was also one at the first night at Dodger Stadium. There was also a big one when The Cure played there.

    Jeez I wish that I've been able to see them live that many times...I feel lucky that I was able just to see them once during the last tour...and that was my very first time ever seeing them live (even though I've been a huge fan since I was a kid).

    Every time I said to a Brit I was a DM fan, they were like, the band´s total crap and it´s old. I am Czech, these conversations happened in Prague in 1990-91. But Depeche were big in other places. In Germany, France, Italy, Poland, Sweden, Spain, USA, Mexico, Chile, Argentina, Russia, India, Hong Kong. Basically, everywhere but the UK.

    the fact that a band like depeche mode were able to sell out dodger stadium at that time was incredible. they also filled out the rose bowl. the cure also played dodger stadium. that is weird but fucking cool. nowadays, it's not that impressive. tastes were better back then.

      well, they sold more than 80,000 tickets in LA during the last tour. LA obviously has the soul that NY never had. in NY, everyone seem to listen to soulless crap like u2, bruce springsteen and bon jovi

    I was in center field that day. We ditched school to buy the tickets at Music Plus in Burbank right when they went on sale. Saw them that same year or maybe the year before at Universal Ampitheatre. No need for me to see any other concerts in my lifetime.

    Depeche Mode. Yes. I wasn’t born. I found them in 2000. Man I wished I have access to a Time Machine and see them during the late 80s and 90s before Alan Wilder left. 😔

      With Alan it was magical; i called in sick to school so i could get tickets for MFTM at red rocks and luckily had a friend who worked @ musicland (record store) to get me tickets for the 90’s violator tour. He said tickets for violator sold out in 25 min….

    • @TaraTheAndroid
      @TaraTheAndroid Před 6 lety +2

      here's the truth: Dave is God, Martin is The Holy Spirit and Thomas Di Leva is Jesus. But if you don't speak swedish, you probably can't see why. Di Leva is the only one in the universe who actually is equal to Depeche. and the signs are clear: he and Dave look like eachother. in 1985, he released an album that translates "I hand myself over on a plate", he was four years before DM with the title "I am you" and as a poet, he beats Martin. thank god the Nobel Prize is swedish. Di Leva will get it.
