How to fix controller not PAIRING PS5

If your PS5 controller is not pairing even when you are plugging it in with a cable, try this!
With a sharp object, like a sim ejection tool or a paperclip tap the button located here. It is a small hole on the controller. That is the reset button. Hold it for a few seconds and your controller should reset. Then, try to connect it back with a cable.
If it still doesn’t work, restart your PS5 and try again while connected with a cable.
If the problem persists, Turn off your PS5 and hold the power button until you hear two beeps to enter Safe mode. Try to connect your controller with a cable here.
But if for some strage reason it still doesn't connect. Try the method without a cable. Through bluetooth. To connect your PS5 controller without a cable hold down the Playstation button and the button in the upper left.
Then navigate the menu with a working controller, IF you don’t have a working controller and are desperate, you can put the USB of a keyboard into the PS5. With the keyboard, while the PS5 controller is flashing like this, go to settings, accessories, and select the controller.
SO if you don’t have a cable, but want to hook your PS5 controller to your console, you can use a PC keyboard to navigate the menus.

Hey guys, what just worked for me is using a two-way USB C cable, basically, the end that goes into the controller to charge needs to be the same on the other end and you put it in the port next to the normal USB port on the console

This was v helpful. My new controller didnt have an updated software and hence wasnt getting registered to the PS5. But using the method above explained at 00:59, it worked. It just required a software update. Thanks for the video man!

I had the same problem. It is funny, but the solution was to charge the controller properly. It seems these is a minimum charge that is required for controller to connect, even if controller starts up.

Yo if u can connect the PlayStation controller app to your PlayStation then go into the accessories setting on your PlayStation using the controller app , forget the controller then using the ps5 controller hold the share and ps button until it enters pair mode then you will see it appear on the devices on ur console . You should be able to finish pairing it using the controller app until it asks you to connect the controller to an account

Hey everyone I used all the methods and they didn’t work here is a resolution that might work for you , connect the PlayStation to your phone using The PlayStation controller app go into the accessories and forget the controller , from here hold the share button and PlayStation button till it goes into pair mode then you will see it appear in the Bluetooth devices , using your phone with the controller app click your DualShock when it appears then do what it says . I’ve sat here for an hour watching videos and none helped then I got the idea to use my phone and re pair the controller

Nah I got chu guys easier then this stuff just use your regular controller and turn on your new controller blue tooth on and go to settings and pair it manually it’s easier trust none of what he said worked for me until I came up with a better way to
