One thing I really really suggest is the second layer of plywood subfloors in the entire house and makes the house feel so much more solid. And it helps a massive amount with preventing noise from going through the floors.
Subfloor contraction using 2 sheets of decking is unheard of her in Tennessee where they are building. Rockwool soundproofing is used often.

congrats my man. i always give people 2 things of advice when getting married. my first one (which you seem to be doing very well) keep your problems off social media. you will never get any answers that help which brings me to my next one. Number 2, talk it out. it doesnt matter the size of the problem always talk it out. it could be dishes in the sink that bother you or major arguments....talk it out. there will be bumps but being a team and living your lives like that it will work out.
oh ya good advice i been married 26 years been a rough ride but we made it through hasnt been an easy start but as time went on it got better i told her when we got married that i dont believe in divorce thats the easy way out now i quit my job tryn to find another takes time but im getting nothing but support from my wife thay says alot thats pretty much it we argue but thats life thks for advice never give up

As someone who's had several homes built, I'd recommend that you put quite a few electrical outlets under your sofets. When you want to hang Christmas lights, you won't have to worry about how many strings you can link together. Also, get them put on a light switch, on the inside, by the front door. You can easily turn your lights on and off. Even do them where the roof peaks. I've saved myself a load of work by doing this.
