About the Orange Crush 12.
The Orange Crush 12 is a miniature practise amp which is pretty spot on for most styles and calibre of guitar player. With its impressively compact size and weight, 6" speaker, badass Orange looks, powerful cleans and fizzy distortion, CabSim and headphone output it just about ticks all of the boxes.
Have a listen and see what you think. - Hudba
Orange Crush 12 owner here the cleans are amazing. I'm another former Fender only player. I've played the Crush 20RT and 35RT and like this the best. The Overdrive knob is so much better than the dirty channels on their other amps. For Garage Rock, Blues, Rockabilly, Punk, and Country it serves me well. Takes pedals with no issue. I thought I *HAD* to have a tube amp until I met the Crush 12. For home playing it's perfect. If Im ever in a band again I'll get a Rocker 15.
Just the review I needed to convince me to buy one of these. Thanks!
It doesn't HAVE to sound fizzy..!
just bought one. You are right; the clean sound surprised me, as I'm a 30+ year Fender backline user... don't often get impressed by other clean sounds.
SUBSCRIBED!
Starting with the clean sound....as it should be. Thank you.
Thanks for the video. Not 100% sure if I'm getting this one yet, need to hear a few more cheap amps first, but this really helps.
Amp sounds great! How much Static X does one need to listen to to get that haircut?
seven.
@@smokejc nah eight
Uh, yes?
No amount of static x is too much
this would be perfect for me if the controls were up in front, i could then stick it in my IKEA shelf :D
I really dig your playing sir
I may pick one of these up and do a switch rig with my Vox pathfinder 10. Thanks
Nice review! Contemplating picking one of these up for practice at home. I already have my Rocker 15 for jams and gigs and this would be good for home use. Cheers!
Cheers Matt! Yeah, this would be perfect for that.
Love the Dime poster 🤘🏼. Funny thing Dime was into Orange amps for practice backstage an gave one to Crowbar Guitarist. Also love the shirt
Great video man. Thanks.
I hit all the classic tones plus it is quiet. I bought a white CR20.Amazing tone!
Just got one of this today, black one. For this price.. sounds so cool and natural. So good👌🏼
just a warning do not try super high gain stuff like slipknot at a loud volume......yea i blew my speaker doing that.
this specific model Sergio J?
How does it sound running pedals through it??
Who buys an Orange amp in any color but orange that's sinful
@@lenonel3286 the blue hits kinda different tho
Just watched this at 10:31 am Sunday Jan 26 2020. Leaving CZcams at this moment to checkout on an orange crush 12w. I indeed do have very little space and am in need of a little box with a BANG
How much did it cost!?
Can you guys recommend this amp over than the marshall mg10cf?
Got one for Christmas.. Cant wait to try it.
how is it? im a beginner and im looking into playing traditional heavy metal, is it any good
@@ArdavanKhoshkhoo It seems pretty good. I have a low end guitar so it makes a difference. There is another post on here that compares 4 different types of practice amps. You may want to view that video before you decide. A lot of the reviews said the Marshall sounded best for distortion. Hope that's helps a little.
Just got mine, love it.
Does it have reverb settings?
@@samedgonul4149 No
Same
Share your setting on this amp please sir
Please, does anyone know to tell me the difference between 12 and 12L crash amp? thank you
the amp is pretty good just sounds small...would like to hear how eight of them linked together sounded like
Which do you prefer: Marshall MG10 CF or Orange Crush 12
Nice review fam
How to plug it in is it rechargable
Just got this yesterday 😃😃😃😃
Like the tone at 3:00, not crazy about the Cab Sim.
Great review.
I don't think this cat's bread is quite done...but I am buying one of these amps....great clean sound, thanks Sam
Does it have reverb?
Thinking of getting this or the Crush 20RT Not bitching at all, really good review, but I see the amp is mic-ed up. Is what I'm hearing the amp, or the amp through the board and out the PA system? Great review, just wondering is all! =)
Hey Chris! You're hearing the amp as dry as possible. Shure Beta 58 straight into Logic without an EQ or Compression.
Okay thanks! Hoping to get my first guitar and amp by Christmas 2019, so I'm almost a complete noob lol. I did sing for a band for about 10 years, and somewhat know what the guys did with their guitars, but was just curious. Thanks again
I am just starting out and in the process of deciding about getting this amp or a fender mustang I V2, I don't really want to have to deal with all the different settings on the fender amp, but other than that I don't know which one to buy. Which one would you pick?
What did you end up getting? I'm in the same situation... 😬
@@henriquedutra9376 I ended up getting the orange crush 20 and I am pretty happy with it
"Great review and amazing hair.
Is this good amp for medal rock
can you use a distortion peddle with this amp?
Yes
Hey! I’m new to guitar, and I’m just wondering how you would use the headphone input for recording.
get some headphones and a 1/4" to 3.55 mm adapter and plug them in to the headphone jack
Andrew Woods I got that, but how do you record something?
@@stephensoltis4652 By getting an aux cable, the one end goes to your pc, the other one goes to the line out of the amp with an 3.5 to 6.3 adapter. Then use audacity or whatever software you like :D
Im still beginner I only have an acoustic guitar is this amp will work? Thank you sorry for my bad english
Hey Migi. It will work, but it's probably a bit unnecessary for the acoustic guitar. Once you have an electric though...
Hey I’m a beginner and I’m looking for a good amp, and I really love this one, should I go with it?
definitely
Both amps are great and both have a closed back design. both deliver a heavy tone but the orange sounds a bit more thicker. The orange gives you more control on the overdrive than the frontman because its a knob instead of a button. The orange is a bit more expensive than the frontman, but still i recommend the orange.
I started out with a frontman 25, but I much prefer the orange over the fender
Peavey rage 158 thats what i recommend
Ish Ali HELL YA I'v used the 20 for a while but the 12s not bad at all
Whats the different with the orange color and the black one?
Hey Nerizzah. No difference in the amp itself, just the colour of the outside of the amp :-)
The color
H3y, i have this amp and I was just wondering, can i damage my amp by playing really loud
Hey Tristen! You shouldn't really, but if you put anything under too much stress then inevitably it will break! Don't play huge beats through it and stick to guitar and you should be fine. If you're running the amp flat out all the time it suggests that you may need something more powerful than a practise amp.
is this a tube/valve amp??
Near certain this is solid state. A tube amp would go for more than $140 CDN.
WHAT WAS THE SETTINGS YOU USED FOR THE CRUNCH?????? I CAN'T FIGURE IT OUT AND IT'S PISSING ME OFF!!!!
Hey dude! It was a little while ago so I can't remember exactly, but, whenever I use any amp I put all controls at 12 o'clock and tend to leave them there (I might occasionally push the mids or the gain a little). That really is it. I don't know if that helps you much at all!!!
Stop the video at 0.39 and you can see the settings! Good memory!!
All 3 EQ and overdrive at 9 o clock, overdrive at 3 o clock
Hey for my crunch tone I have gain on 10/11 overdrive on 8 bass on 3 my mid on 7 and my treble on 4. It gives me a heavy crunch
@@mr.mercury79 I am super new to guitar and just got this amp. Thanks for the settings suggestion, totally gave me that crunch I was looking for.
Is it good with pedals?
Why wouldnt it be? It's an amp lol
Crush 12, Crush 20 or Crush 20RT for a practice amp in an apartment?
20RT because of the reverb
DB lives
Can you connect pedals to this amp?
Scotts man Yes, you will need another cable tho
Thank you!
@@AJgeartalk No Problem!
I like the way you say “amp”
3:06 who else expected a free bird solo?
Will it sound good if i use a distortion pedal?
It does, but that depends on the distortion that you're using. Some would work better than others
@@tite93 How about a DS-1?
@@leomessi7058 ds-1 goes well with anything, I think :)
@@tite93 Even a Frontman 10G?
@@leomessi7058 well, as long as you don't put too much gain on it
Of course, it won't sound great, but it's fine for practicing in a smaller apartment
Can this amp sound good with pedals?
Hey Josh. Yes of course - just remember there's not an effects loop but everything straight in the front works just fine!
Playing starts at 0:51
It's a decent amp for some cleans, and overdriven related stuff. But, for metal or distortion? For me, the chugging and the handling of chords with distortion is not that good, it rather sounds "plasticky" for me. 😂
Marshall MG10cf still better for metal.
@@android199x Yep, either that or might as well amps like Boss amp, or a Laney amp perhaps. I think I'm going to save up some money for those type of amps. 🤣
@@memoire-30jm09 thanks bro. Im going to save my money too
@@android199x No probs bro. 👍
Yea buy another amp
Pleae reply
How do i play sweet child o mine in this amp? What setting
Not as much gain as you think!
Turn your tone knob down on the tone control of your guitar and use the neck pickup. Little bit of OD and BAM!

Nice review
Does it have a line in?
I have that, price was : 105 Euro.
I think thumbnail was blur
The mic shadow looks like a ding dong
.
That’s what u got out of this video
@@Drsimp27 pretty much yea
F Mendoza Lmao wtf
Vox pathfinder 15 vs orange crush?
wabbadaba duba this. It's awesome
I have both and I was happier with orange
I got both a Vox Mini G2 and a Vox VX50 modeling tube amp, and I love both of those. The Mini has a shocking amount of power and FX galore for a 3 watt amp,
and the Vox VX50 is a sheer monster that models everything, even some heavy metal high gain channels, and sounds stupendous even at a bedroom volume. The Pathfinder
is ok but the latter two Vox amps are much better in my humble opinion. The Orange isn't a modeling amp but it does sound great, for blues clean or hard rock sounds.
I wouldn't bother with it for metal.
cocaine anyone?
behaviour99 LMFAOOO
Let me slip into my sailin’ shoes.
Cool amp. Whats up withthat hair? Lol
For me it's a very bad amp with distrocion
You’re cute and awkward. it’s nice.
can I suggest not "pointing" at the amp so much, it's orange color for god's sakes we can SEE it!!
Lame.
Great presentation :-).
I have just bought an Orange Crush 12 it sounds so electic with ease, i have way more fun with Crush 12 than my Vox AC15 or my Fender Champion 600 valve amps.
