    Thank you for this really good and well made information.
    But there is a lot more in offer. The variety of offer generally is really amazing (food, cloths.....) and I'm astonished about, how accurate and cleaned most of the shops are. Cloths are modern and very sheap, woman's paradise. 😉
    I took all my effectives from Europe to Panama, but would really not recommend it. It is not worth.

      Yeah, there are lots. The one I used (guitars, trumpets, saxophones, etc) was just off the Inter-Americana along the road to the old police station (they've now torn that down but ask someone and they'll know which road you mean). If you go along that road from the Inter-Americana highway it will be on the left about 500-1,000 yards down (that is, if they haven't moved). They were there 2 years ago when I was last there. But there are many others around so no worries there.

    Can you get by in David with english? Can you hop an air conditioned bus easily to go to any of the malls? I don't really want to drive there.
    Are there any english libraries in David, with thousands of fiction books? Cost to rent a furnished 1 bed 1 bath condo? With electric and internet included preferably, as i understand otherwise that you could be without both for a week or two.

    • @PanamaRelocationTours
      @PanamaRelocationTours  Před 2 lety +2

      rentals in David do no include electricity usually. Some people would run their electricity all the time which would be a huge bill. You can take a taxi to the malls but most buses do not go to the mall. There are no English libraries in David. The Boquete library has a small selection of English books. The Boquete handicap foundation sells English books

    Bonjour ! Merci pour cette vidéo. On apprend tant de choses en si peu de temps ! Mais pourriez-vous me dire s'il y a à David des cliniques et hôpitaux qui souscrivent un abonnement d'assurance maladie? Je sais que cela se fait dans certains hôpitaux à Panama ciudad .

    Do the furniture & large appliance stores offer delivery and set-up?

    • @PanamaRelocationTours
      @PanamaRelocationTours  Před 2 lety +1

      Yes they all offer delivery and set up. It's usually $25 extra unless you live far away from town

    • @realismatitsfinest5745
      @realismatitsfinest5745 Před 2 lety +2

      Also, any furniture you buy they will deliver it and set it up for you ... not like in Canada, USA or Europe at all. When I bought all the furniture for my unfurnished apt in Panama City, it was all delivered and for an extra $10 they set everything up as well. The workmen were there for 6 hours ... and it was $10 for the ENTIRE 6 hours for all 4 of them. (Of course, this was back in 2006 so, with inflation it might be $25 now. But still well worth it!)

    Is David a good place to live? Is it very hot?

    • @realismatitsfinest5745
      @realismatitsfinest5745 Před 2 lety +1

      Yes. David is HOT! It's the hottest city in Panama actually. However, I lived in both Panama City for a couple of years and then moved to David for the last 6 years I was there. P. City gets rain at around 2 pm everyday and it ends at 4 pm. The problem with this scenario is that the sun is still up for another 2 hours. So as soon as the rain stops, the Humidex pushes the temp in P. City really high (it's still only 30 C but it feels like 40-45 C!). Whereas, in Chiriqui the rain doesn't arrive until 4 pm and by the time it stops, the sun is setting so it creates a nice cool environment for sleep. That said, if you live in David, you will DEFINITELY need Air-Con. If you move to Boquete (an hour north of David; mentioned in the video) however, it's in a valley so it's much cooler there. In fact, most houses in Boquete do NOT have Air-Con. But there's a large expat community there and, as such, the house prices are much higher in Boquete than they are in David.
