Memorize the Fretboard in 3 MINUTES!
Vložit
- čas přidán 2. 06. 2024
- Fretboard memorization is an essential part of any beginner guitarists journey. While having a grasp of easy guitar chords and scales can help you learn and improve at guitar faster, memorizing the fretboard is a key step to truly understanding guitar... and music!
Problem is, learning about basic guitar theory can be less than exciting, but NOT TODAY. In this video I introduce you to the essentials of memorizing the fretboard from understanding basic scales and octaves, to the relationship between guitar strings.
By the end of this you'll know how to tune your guitar, without a tuner! And the best part is, it's only 3 minutes! Which if you've read this far into the description, I assume has already passed.
So, submerse yourself in this fun animated guitar video, and finally learn all of the notes on the guitar fretboard. - Hudba

I'm a total beginner but was encouraged to begin working on memorizing the fret board. I tackle one string at a time. I go up and down the entire string, playing ever note, and say out loud the name of the note. And I do this about ten times every time I practice. You wouldn't believe how quickly you can learn what's seemed impossible when you just start chipping away at it!
Thanks for the tip!! I really helps me:)
did you memorize it entirely? I can’t figure out if I should practice one note at a time or one string at a time? any tips?
@@donniedarko464 do both! I started today, just be consistent for a few weeks
@@donniedarko464 I havne't memorized the entire freboard, but I have the first two strings (and subsequently the high-E string as well) down pretty darn good!
Also, if you know the trick that adjacent to every B, are the notes E A D. So, you can use the word "BEAD" to help you remember where you're at. It helps a lot.
I also only practice this for about five minutes during any practice session. After that amount of time, I move on to other things. Learning science says it's better to parctice things in short bursts, with lots of repetition over a longer periods of time.
Gonna use this now thanks
I picked up guitar at 21 and I thought i would be a rockstar by 26. Still late by industry standard but yeah i wished. Lol
