great video...i have a cadillac ct6 with the 8l90. my car recently stopped shifting after a drive home from work. parked it in the garage, got up to go to work the next day and for some reason its like the trans isnt responding. gears change on dash but i feel no movement in trans like its till in park every gear. havent had it looked at yet. im tryna figure out where to start any suggetions?
@@auto_tech thanks for your response....i checked the cable at both ends(its connected fine at the shifter/even had my gf shift thru the gears while i was under the car and I COULD SEE THAT THE SHIFT CABLE IS CONNECTED AND MOVING ON THE SIDE OF TRANS WHEN SHE MOVES THE SHIFTER) but the trans does nothing. looks like its changing gears on the dash board but wont out of park. I'm thinking fluid level check....and if that doesnt do it could be shift solenoids gon bad or i need to replace valve body. i do have cel on for a misfire and evap solenoid as well but i dont think that'll stop the trans from moving. only part that really sucks is that i cant move the car out my garage...gotta put it in neutral to put it on tow truck but its stuck in park.....dont wanna break anything trying to drag it onto a flatbed
