One of my favorite places to go when the need to get away takes over.

Who is the narrator of these videos? He sounds like a famous movie star that I should know.

Can you drive there from Queens New York? Or do you need ferry?
Also how much to get on top of the tower and parking fee?

You need to take a ferry, and driving is not allowed on the island.

This is on my bucket list for 1 reason:
How long is it going to take to walk from the westernmost end of Robert Moses State Park/Beach to the easternmost end of Fire Island. I say: 12-14 hours total. 24-27 hours ROUNDTRIP.
Ocean beach can only be called Fire Island State Capital because of how much it feels like a city. Next to them I say are towns/Ships, and then Villages, and then Rural Nothingness. The one road to each end could just be I-FI-1. The cheapest fare to get to fire Island is $2.25/$1.50/$.75. And you should know on what vehicle. Overall, I never went there and the ironic thing is that I live on Long Island. In Nassau County and to get there by Transit would be the n40/41 to Freeport/Hempstead/Mineola, then the BY Branch to Babylon/then the n54/55 to Amityville LIRR Station/Then the KO Branch to Brentwood. Then, it’s the Montauk Branch to Bayshore/Then, it’s on the S20 to Babylon. Then the S40 to Bay Shore./then it’s SCT to Bay Shore. Alternatively, it could be n40/41 to Freeport, then the BY Branch to Babylon, and then the S47 to Robert Moses Beach (Summer Service Only). Cost varies, but definitely less than the Ferry when including transfers.
As someone who loves to hike, that Maritime Forest is now a must. I do need a ton of PC’s to keep my phone alive & other amenities. After the campground, it’s just desolate Ruralness to the end.
