- Requested This video is made of multiple clips, because beating the game with Dark Tooth the legit way is impossible, since the game will keep freezing and the colors will mess up. Dark Tooth can't use his head. I don't know if the head is probably an actual vehicle itself, so you can't play with two cars at the same time. When using Dark Tooth, you will shoot the regular machine guns instead of the pink cones. Those pink cones is probably the head's special. All the weapons that you shoot with Dark Tooth actually does more damage than usual. I haven't tested if the CPU Dark Tooth's weapons does a lot of damage too. He has infinity Hammerhead's special, which is his best attack.

The stage only loads when there's seven enemies.

In Antarctica I had no choice but to play that stage with the color glitch, because that glitch shows up in every attempt of that stage. It must have something to do with the glitch that Antarctica already has, which is weapons like the napalm turning invisible.
When fighting Dark Tooth with Dark Tooth, you can only damage him with napalm and remote bombs, and since I couldn't get any weapons, the only way for to kill him was to use infinite weapon.
And Sweet Tooth decided to commit suicide rather than fight you! He went totally insane, hurling himself off a building, fifty stories to the hard ground below, laughing maniacally, finally able to find a true escape from his madness... I shed a tear.

Hands down the biggest thing to do in the twisted metal series, is to play as the one and only dark tooth. You can't top that. There is no higher objective then that. Once you've done so, there is nothing else to do. This is as great as it gets.

Dark Tooth from this game isn't supposed to be. Neither is Minion from the first. So i should had said Minion from TM1 and Dark Took from TM2 are peak level in terms of taboo. Since they weren't originally intended for use. So their playability value is a one of a kind worth. Their more special, even though it's buggy, but thats the exact reason why, as i explained in the aforementioned.
Pretty much. He's such a spectacle, just a giant Sweet Tooth with black paint. Would be awesome if he wasn't all glitchy and you could use the giant head. It wouldn't be challenging to beat the game like that, but it'd be fun just to absolutely obliterate everyone.

Also one thing to note while playing as Dark Tooth, if you fire ricochets they will be a lot larger and do more damage just like he uses when you face him.

I always wondered how can Charlie Kane drive his vehicle, Dark Tooth, in Twisted Metal 2? It's a gigantic ice cream truck.
Funny thing I noticed when playing as him is that the game actually has level passwords for him, although if you try using them, they won't work. Maybe he was somehow intended to be an unlockable character? I suppose the idea would be to make him a bit shorter (just like in HO) and no extra damage from weapons. And make his special work somehow. Who knows!

Dark Tooth is just gonna hang out in the lava for a little while, no big deal.
The view of each of these level's from Dark Tooth's perspective shows off the amount of background detail that normally gets over looked.
I remember I'd always put the darktooth code in GameShark, then pick Sweet tooth for story mode because it was the closest I'd ever get to actually playing as Darktooth. I did that because sweet tooth's cherry/ice cream bombs would spin just like Darktooth's only on the Hong Kong map, rather than just arc up and down. I always wished so bad that the head on top of Darktooth would actually work as a special and those badd ass looking ricochet bombs with his face on it would work also but I was always disappointed :(. sadly I'll never get to fully play as Darktooth :'(
When I was playing in the LA level I somehow accidently got outside of the level and was able to drive around in the background areas, I don't know how it happened.

Twisted Metal 2 just hit different than all the other Twisted Metals. Wish I could get this on Ps5. Had to settle for Twisted Metal Black.

It would so cool to play as the clown head! One thing Ive noticed is that if I played with sweet tooth and got to hong kong sometimes (very rarely) I would get access to dark tooths special. It was a pink missile thing but swirled in circular pattern.

It separates the screen on two and it was shit. Same with Gran Turismo. If they had a network between the two PS1 consoles and two TVs same as when we played Red Alert Retaliation in network 1vs1 would've been great

when I first saw this vehicle in the game I totally freaked out I was yelling like wth is this and then I died
I always found it lame that the devs didn't give us a legit way to use Dark Tooth. It was obvious that anyone who played against him would immediately say, "I WANT!"
Maybe they couldn't figure out how to implement him without the game glitching out or he couldn't fit through various parts of the levels. I say fuck that...I'd rather not be able to enter every part of a level than not play using this badass vehicle.
When we finally did get to use him, it was in Head-On. Ignoring the fact that HO is nowhere near as good as 2, Dark Tooth just wasn't as badass in that game.
That and on top of it all, in head on it was smaller! If you fight dark tooth vs deal tooth, the AI is bigger smh

He oído hablar de otra manera de hacerlo: jugar como Sweet Tooth en Amazonia, encontrar el templo con la cabeza de payaso en él, disparar su lado derecho (un agujero aparecerá), salir y disparar los tres paneles que parpadean, Derrotar a todos los enemigos, Dark Tooth aparecerá en el campo de batalla, derrotarlo, entonces se desbloqueará para cualquier modo.
También he oído hablar de usar una contraseña para desbloquear Diente Oscuro: Triángulo, Círculo, X, Triángulo, Cuadrado, X.

Tm2 is the best hands down. The physics tho not perfect are the best. I remember how horrid tm3 was - who thought flipping upside down was a good mechanic?? And dont get me started on Tm4... twisted metal black was great but tm2 was and is just more fun.

I played as Dark Tooth on an emulator, and he didn't break much. All he does for me is glitch out of the map or pop hundreds of feet into the air.
