FIRST!!!1!
This tutorial covers the BASICS fo roofing in the sims 4. Might do a more indepth tutorial in the future if you guys would like that. Also planning to do a landscaping tutorial soon - so please leave all your landscaping questions down below!
Hope this is helpful for some of you. â€ïž
:D
Im having so much trouble with victorian style roofing :( i wish you could do a video on that
Nice tutorial đ do you know how to get the 3 dots on ps4 maybe? Anyway I am thrilled to see the landscaping video cause you are the best one at that in my opinion.
Thank god xD Roofing isn't such a struggle for me but any house looks so empty without landscaping. I feel like whenever my builds get to that point, I just bulldoze it because I don't know how to do landscaping without it looking either too much or just really random
MsGryphi I love how you yelled first đ€Ł
I canât figure out the flat roofs to save my life đ©
Dont add a roof and just use the lowest half wall on the top and change the wall colour to match your building and in half wall trims just change the colour to your desired one
Omg thank you for this! I'm struggling so much with roofs đđ
Glad you found it helpful!
I thought I knew almost everything about roofing, but I never knew about the alt/pitch thing and the ctrl+c/three point thing! Awesome video, itâs so helpful but also entertaining! Next do you think you could do one on clutter, specifically on how much or how little clutter to alt place and what looks good? I think Iâve kind of got it but it would be cool to se your opinionđ
Glad this is helpful! and maybe! :)
"Of this simple shaped house.."
I can barely build a two floored house đ€Šââïžđ€Šââïž
Aww don't say that! Just gotta practice :)
Same

This is the roofing tutorial I NEEDED. You really explained in detail and from scratch how to roof homes and this was incredibly helpful ! đ I've been binge watching your builds lately
4:42 So THAT'S how you do it... I've been wondering why everyone (on youtube) had that 3 dots that they can use while mine is just 1... XD
Right I have played the sims for 5 years and never knew how to do that
Using the tables as a roof was actually very smart. Smart utilization of items, wow.
This is SO helpful!! I have hated dealing with roofing for so long because I couldn't figure out how to get them to work. Between this and your other tutorials, I feel like I can make a half-decent home now! Thank you!
roofs were such a trouble for me, thank youu
I love your tutorials because of the details you give, like the simple keyboard tips. Thank you!!!

Damn I thought I knew the sims 4 xD I love ur vids btw
â€â€â€
this was so helpful, thank you!
Thank you! I bought a premade home an I thought Iâd just remodel, but remodeling the roof was my full on down fall. I think Iâm gonna sledge hammer the whole thing and start fresh. The roof, that is, not the house lol!
Thanks for the halfroof idea, instead of putting a bunch of tables I just raised the floor till it was almost level!
I am new to your channel. :-) I have been playing Sims since the very beginning, and I build houses and stuff for the most part. And I always struggle with the roofs. So I love this tutorial !! Thanks for it, and keep doing what you are doing, because your tutorials are so good !! :-)

OMGOSH So Excited To Watch This....... I Am Horrid At Roofing!!!!!!!! Thank YOU
â€â€
Cool tutorial, thanks!
Maybe you could talk about roofing wrap-around porches at some point. I always struggle with those, especially when I build victorian houses and I use half hipped roofs (that I don't want to clip through the wals).
Of course - glad you liked it. Hmmm maybe!
This video was really helpful!! I haven't tried building much in the Sims 4 because I'm a Sms 3 youtuber. Thank you for all the tips and tricks! It's very encouraging! đđ
Glad this was helpful! and oooh! Sims 3 is amazing :)
@@Gryphi I really love Sims 3!! Have you ever played it? Or have you only played sims 4?đ
@@KyleGarnet Yes! Spent so many hours in that game. Started my channel on the Sims 3 back in...2012?
@@Gryphi Woah that's forever ago!! I feel like such a young channel!! I started my channel 2 months ago I think? I really like your videos!!! đđ
I heard new england lol im also from new englad!! hell yeah! Wicked cool! ive love your videos!
13:47, Omg, the roof looks like an ice cream sandwich or an Oreo!.....just thought Iâd say that
Thank you for this!
Of course :)
I've had the roof-clipping glitch thing happen to me. IT was very annoying, but after some scouring on Reddit, someone wrote that I had to re-do the rooms and it fixes itself, somehow. Now, I try to do the roofing way at the end of my builds, specially if they're clipping through the walls, because you know, sometimes they just look better.
Thanks for this vid, by the way, I didn't knew about those three-points of modification, nor about adjusting the height in a free way.
Thank you so much!!
Thank you!đđŒđđŒ
Your are a goddess!!! Thank you for this tutorial!!!
yes this is very helpful
That was really helpful! Thanks a lot! o/
Glad to hear it. No problem! :)
I love when simmers create tutorials on things like roofing. What I wish is that someone would do basic video and then a advanced roofing tricks.
I think this covers both. I could definitely do one that is more detailed in the future and shows how I address different styles of roofs, though!
You genius I would show it to all my friends if I had any
I love your videos â€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïž
â€
i love so much your videoooss, now i see im a huge noob haha â€ïž
â€ïž
I always have a problem with the roof. maybe it will change now âșïž
Thank you â
which is the modern build you placed?? i want to download it ^^ btw you make the best and more helpful building tutorials I've seen (and trust me, I have seen A LOT)
It's called "Elmsgate Place" and aw thank you!
The platforms making fine roofs as well
thank you sm
Love it
Does using flooring for your roof, like you did for the flat roof, keep out weather when you have the seasons pack? I feel like I attempted to use flooring in the past to make a flat roof, and it snowed inside my house as if I had no roof at all.
Iâm just wondering, how do you make your game run faster? Because Iâve been looking at a lot of youtubers doing it and it just doesnât make sense to me but I feel as tho you might be better at explaining so if anyone else agrees with me could you possibly make a video on how you were able to make your sims 4 so clear?
I just have my game on the highest settings :)
Ayee New England gang
Lmfao not me thinking a flat roof was waaaay more difficult that just another floor and the smallest half wall trim đ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł thank you!
One small tip - make sure you set the walls so that you can see them or you won't be able to see the roof when you add it :)
Thank you! This is very cool. I wasn't aware of what you could do with holding alt or shift.
The barn style roof is called a "gambrel" roof.
How do you have such good designs
I came here to see how to make 2 perpendicular gabled roof sections meet at a point, but I learned a lot more than that!
Basically, what I'm trying to do is build a roof on a rectangle build. I want the center to just be a flat roof and have the four sides connected to the build so that it stays flat in the middle. I'm unable to get the gabled roof from one side to meet the roof on the adjoining side to meet at an angle; they always just go through each other.
I feel like an idiot because it seems like it'd be easy enough to do, but it just won't work for me! Any clue how to do this?
Yes the first house
Hey how do you get the extra manipulation points for roofing on consoles
Question? When I do these porch roofs like that they end up in my house. How do I fix that? When I try to fix it they don't look right on the out side.
Does this work for ps4 (console) players by just pressing in the square button?
"A little bit of shape
*that's a tree*
A little bit of shape"
Hey đđŒ anyone know what the (Alt) keg would be for console?
I am having issues with the roof entering the house sometimes what can I do?
