Why can't all judge's be like this fine gentleman? Instead we get psycho power abusers!
A lot of people are disrespectful af and that makes old judges bitter over time.
Not to diminish his benevolence, I admire this person, but how would you act if you knew so many people were watching you? and that you had 87 or six national TV cameras pointing at you? and that YOU make money out of this love people have for you? I AM JUST SEEING BEYOND...that is the reason many judges are not like him.
Stop electing judges, that’s the problem you have politicians enforcing the law so people want them to be hard asses and convict every accused person even if their innocent. That’s how they get re-elected.

You are absolutely right!!! Their is so much corruption in the judicial American system etc and I’m angry at 3/4 of the tickets these old guys come in with from punk cops. I’m SO HAPPY that judge Caprio dismisses those cases and listens to their stories. I love it and I love the judge!

2nd case... how can there be a school zone speeding violation when school is out for the year? That's just a money grab by the city.
Her ticket was on June 21. School was in session June 21. Like Inspector Quin said, school was not out of session until July 1, July 1 was the first out of session/ summer break for the school. When school is out of session, Judge Caprio dismisses it.
@@amandag417 I may have misheard, but it didn't sound like he was saying she was wrong about the school already being out, but rather that the statute says the school zone limit applies until July 1st anyway... Regardless of when the school actually dismisses.

It's sounds obvious that school was out for the summer for normal attendance, a token of staff and others, a mistake in dates yet S broadcast that it was not in session. Should have not be enforced and/or ticket dismissed. The Judge in my opinion does not use reasonable logic and as well has no thought of the constitution and Bill of Rights.

Lords! I luckily found a parking spot...end one at a meter....no parallel parking for me in front of the courthouse here.
The meter still had 40 minutes. I added a few quarters... Paid it forward. I knew I would be less than 45 minutes getting copies.
As I came back to my car.. A car turned...I said to the old guy... Sir.. Im leaving.... Take my spot...
He was so sweet..had a Korean War Veterans hat on.... I added another quarter... Left him over an hour and a half.... And thanked him for his service.

You got to be kidding right? As a fellow Californian you must know we have one of the cheapest tickets for speeding of almost every state. Compare it to $300 in Texas or $1000 in Nevada. Meanwhile, we sit at number 45 for most expensive tickets.

The judge is such a disciple of the angel of law that he knows the inner meanings of laws and fines and implements them in an elegant and peaceful way. I hv seen him giving judgements like this is what it is too. He seems just a rightful kid of that angel of law which democracies regard so high . He is someone different and a masterpiece in that profession.

As explained to me by a judge, a Highway Patrolman, and at least two county Sherriffs. 'XXmph When Children Are Present" ONLY applies to when you can see them walking to and from the school. No children present, speed limit does not apply. School not open, speed limit does not apply
2:35 - former police officer here. It's absurd that someone should have to pay a fine for doing the speed limit. I've issued hundreds of tickets for people doing the speed limit or lower and I always thought it was unfair that people had to pay those.
The inspector is very fun too
The first person who said “I might not be here tomorrow” was very sad and the women in the back with the blue shirt was very disrespectful because she laughed at that.
