Yeah seems about right. I think Wyrmblade would be at least A-tier if any of their faction tac-ops were good, I could see them still getting there off the back of their recent buffs. Seeing the internal balance get fixed with the Talon gives me hope for Heirotek. Sadly I think you are right about Exaction. They seem to be at least fun to play now instead of just a constant feels bad. Going to pick them up next probably.
I must say that I'm really enjoying WormBlade with the lastest balanced dataslate update. Definitely feels like they moved up. Keep up the great content and looking forward to more Beta-Decima content
I hope for 13 w marines and general intercession rework that would make them not as braindead In my group we have this: 13 wounds, no inbaked BD and SA (they are strat ploys), doctrine is 1 strat ploy and assault works on every fight, leader ability is free doctrine Also auspex is dedicated operative (blocks it on stalker/gl guy) Very fun imo, still easy to play, but more build variety and more decisions in general

Warp Coven, for me are in a weird space. They are missing something but a small change could take them too far. Sorcerors baby sitting rubrics really do hold the team back in terms of mobility and getting to objectives to hold them. Interesting point on the Tzangors. Not sure 10 wounds would help the team hold objectives. I'll be repping them at Element Games King in the North Tournament in April Maybe Sorceror ability to generate a cp and or deduct APL from an enemy operative would be cool

played wyrmblade the day after the buffs and holy shit they melted 4 legionaries by end of t2. mobile heavy gunners to imply board control while having the blasting charge icon bearer and grenade launcher gunner on last activation forward deploy really messes with your opponent's tactics. i can safely say that they're certified elite hard counters, especially with crossfire tokens on the ready

Lol before inquisition was nerfed I thought they were weak. I was wrong then, and I might be wrong AGAIN.. They can be an infuriating team to play against with their ability to just flat out deny a lot of playstyles, BUT I don't think that makes them busted. They have one of the worst leaders in the game and a lot of 4+ bs without a lot of ways to modify it, plus they don't have a crazy amount of firepower anymore (in comparison to other shooty hordes) after the nerf. I dunno I haven't played them enough, and have literally never fought them (the idea of them denying my ancestors are watching has me in tears). Also I think Elites, especially legionnaires will manage better than C tier in most tournaments, even if they shouldn't on paper. Thanks for the list (and the content in general, our club all consumes it and find it very helpful)

i honestly think kommandos are still S tier. They are true monsters man. maybe you were influenced by the nerfs, but looking now, i think they can compete with the other 3 you put in S

Hey man! I am playing Warhammer Underworlds for a good while, always locking out from Kill Team. But now i am trying to reconsider buying with friends some kill team warbands and give it a try. So theres question - Do you see kill team as more funnier, easier or harder? I love UW for its sinplicity and i am worried that kill team will be rules mess, making that unplayable for us
Kill Team is more fun, with a harder hurdle to learn, but once you get the hang of it, you'll quickly love the game. Getting a line laser really helps as after that it's all pretty straightforwards
I know this was probably a hard list to make and you're going to get a lot of knee jerk reactions complaining and claiming you're wrong. But I think your reasoning for each team is solid. You're a competitive player that sees most of these teams played at the highest level. Most people play the same team against their group of friends that also play the same teams and have no clue how important match ups contribute to an overarching meta. I'd be curious if kill team will ever get "skill based" tier lists such as league of legends has. Just because a team like inquisition is on S tier does NOT mean they're an instant win and might actually place rather low in a beginners tier list due to their complexity. Either way, just wanted to say you made a great video and brought a lot of good points in the current meta and i want to apologize in advance for the incoming wave of kasrkin players coming to scream that theyre still F tier and need to hit and save on 3's. I dont know why people put hive fleet so high, I've tried them with every tacop and both all stealers and stealer warrior and Ive found no success, if anyone's got some pointers, I would be thankful
As a new player, just learn the game. Intercession squads are great for learning the game and getting better. For casual play, the tier lists don't matter much. Intercession will serve you well and be a ton of fun.
I will say it again, the unnecessary nerf to the Methodical Chapter Tactic for Intercession was a mistake. The "free" to build, easy to play, low entry cost into KT21 was the benchmark elites KT. If Space Marines are supposed to be "better than everyone else (human)" at everything, than there should probably be no non-hoarde human teams above them. Yes, Phobos have finally (after multiple tries...) been buffed into usability, but at the expense of other selections. So you have to ask... Is this about competitive game play? Or selling more models? I think you know my opinion.
Methodical was no brain option every time since it conserved your CP, glad it got nerfed to only be good for ITD, but it's quite a shame there is no other good selections in this category
The whole concept of 10 Kasrkin being able to outshoot a unit of 6 Space Marines (much less Intercessors!) is just flat out ridiculous. I am starting to feel that the quarterly "rebalancing" is starting to be just shaking things up for the sake of shaking them up, not actually improving the game-play. This is the same problem with 40K "codex inflation" going all the way back to 2e. But it is now happening 4x per year and it is not about "army builds" becoming invalid, but about rules being changed that allow you to do (or not do...) something that was (by many?) assumed to be a "thought out" (ROTFL!!!) function of that faction.
See, I understand the logic of taking issue with Methodical initially being an auto-take chapter tactic, but considering the teams after and around them, I'm on the side of it's a design issue on the part of the rest of the chapter tactics that they aren't as appealing. Chainswords are middling despite 4/5 damage with no other rules and the other chapter tactics are too limiting or win-more (especially the melee-oriented ones that do nothing for shooting).
As someone who was building and looking forward to play Intercession Squad...not great. On the other hand I play Veteran Guardsmen, so I guess not everything is in shambles.
With their additional defensive ploy and command re-roll they are highly unlikely to give you the negative end of "swingy" vs completely shutting down a Plasma Gun shot that should have evaporated any other Marine. You play Tzeentch, save all your CP for defensive measures, and then kill their AP2 weapons in retaliation. Your big weakness is Legionary in that situation is actually melee. Without Nurgle's tricks you take too much damage in melee exchanges.
What if Heinous Arrogance was a universal ploy available when a teams starting unit count (I know not the same as activations) is lower than their opponents? It could be once per game or 2pts idk

I'm just worried the game makers behind kill team might jump the gun doing balancing on your advice because you have an audience. There are so few people like you on youtube doing work like this to inform the decision makers behind the game this is now a problem for the community as a whole. You're smart, but being smart doesn't produce results as well as community collaboration does.
It's just my opinion, I have no sway on game design or balance. If the devs do follow my suggestions then it's probably because they've tested it out themselves and agreed

Could someone explain the warden auspex rule to me? Can it be targetted on concealed units and if so can people then shoot that targetted unit if it is concealed or behind walls or something (asking because heavy cover counts as obscuring). I'm new and would rather ask here than when playing as I don't want to look like I'm trying to cheese the rules in my favour.
Finally you realised VG is the most broken team in the game (and was actually the most broken in the previous meta as well after Cult original nerf). But Salvation is here. Bheta-Decima seems not that good for VG, at least on the first glance.

5 stealers and 8 Gants on ITD. Stealers have some of the best shooting, 2+ with splash and therefore lethal 5, it’s just so dangerous.

It works on any enemy operative in the kill zone and just means they do not benefit from the obscured rule

You should proof read and clean up the article. Some copy paste and not great descriptions especially farther down the tiers.

Here's an example of things I think could be better.
Your explanation of d Tier:
"D Tier - Bad kill teams. Weak due to either poor rules or mechanics. Unlikely to win with, commonly going 1 win and 3 losses at an event."
But here is your description of a team in the tier.
"Aeldari: With the extra body rule, all Eldar kill teams still remain good. Just not as powerful as their bespoke alternatives. Except Dire Avengers, for some reason?"
So are Eldar good per the description or bad per the tier?
"Sisters of Battle: Remain exactly the same too, a very solid kill team."
Same with your description of sisters. A "very solid kill team" in the bad kill team tier seems kind of confusing.
Also next paragraph"

You combined the two on accident so. Maybe there's some Copy and paste issues.

@@CanYouRollaCrit I never played any other faction then Noviciates but 7 HP on every specialist put them in B tier :) this team is to soft and it's very easy to play against. You mostly win because you opponent don't know all sisters rules :)
I dunno man, they have amazing dice mods and can negate shooting. 7w means nothing if you never fails saves
