After Hearing the Seerah, I am Regretting leaving KSA in 2011, to that extend that i am crying when i read seerah or hearing the seerah from the scholar. How great the Madina and Makkah. i am well established in India but I am seeking again my job in KSA so that i can settle and die either in these two cities. I am seeking forgiveness to allah and requesting you to dua for me to return back to madina.

As a point of correction, when Sheikh Yasir mentioned Umm Salamah (ra) and Abu Salamah (ra) being among those who immigrated to Abyssinia, it was not Abu Salamah (ra) who died there, nor did the Prophet (swt) propose to Umm Salamah (ra) while she was in Abyssinia. Sheikh Yasir mixed up names and likely meant Umm Habeebah (ra) (i.e., Ramlah, the daughter of Abu Sufyan). Umm Habeebah's (ra) husband left Islam after they had immigrated to Abyssinia, so they were divorced, and the Prophet (saws) proposed to her while she was a divorced mother in Abyssinia. Despite the marriage contract over the distance, they did not see each other after the marriage until 7 Hijrah, when she moved to Medina. Umm Salamah (ra) and Umm Habeebah (ra) were both "Mothers of the Believers," so it's easy to mix them up. Umm Salamah's (ra) husband, Abu Salamah (ra), had passed away in Medina because he did not recover from injuries he had sustained during the Battle of Badr, so she was proposed to by the Prophet (saws) in Medina after she became a widowed mother and her waiting period had passed, and that happened after she refused to accept proposals from Abu Bakr (ra) and Umar (ra), despite the Muslim community being concerned about her and her children. As humans, we are prone to making mistakes, and this was just a minor slip up, which does not diminish his outstanding work. I am loving this series so far, and may Allaah (swt) reward Sheikh Yasir many times over for the magnificent work he is doing sharing such valuable knowledge to us!

Rightly pointed out.. I am sure it's a slip of tongue and confusing the names as I am sure I have heard Yasir qadhi sb mentioning the story of ummul momineen um e habeeba and how she was proposed and what happened to her husband Abdullah ibn jehsh. The coursin of Prophet saw
Whilst Abu salama ra died in Madina

*9. Have you (O Muhammad ()) seen him (i.e. Abu Jahl) who prevents,*
*10. A slave (Muhammad ()) when he prays?*
    11. Tell me, if he (Muhammad ()) is on the guidance (of Allah)?
    12. Or enjoins piety?
*13. Tell me if he (the disbeliever, Abu Jahl) denies (the truth, i.e. this Qur'an), and turns away?*
*14. Knows he not that Allah does see (what he does)?*
*15. Nay! If he (Abu Jahl) ceases not, We will catch him by the forelock,*

    Episode 15 Notes:
The Persecution of the Messenger of Allah Muhammad SWT
Sometimes Allah SWT directly protected the Prophet SAW and sometimes he indirectly protected him.
One key example when Allah SWT protected Muhammad SAW was when, SAW was praying in front of the Kabah and Abu Jahal swore by his false gods that he would step on the neck of SAW. So, when SAW went into sajdah, Abu Jahal attempted to keep his promise only to walk backwards all of a sudden, as if he was pushing something away. The Quraysh questioned Abu Jahal on why he didn’t keep his promise, and Abu Jahal said that he saw a pit of fire between himself and Prophet SAW. The Prophet SAW later explained, that the angels had brought a fire and if Abu Jahal had tried coming towards Muhammad SAW, then they would have torn him to shreds. This event was what led to the revelation of the second half of Surah Al Alaq.
One key example of when Allah SWT did not, was when Uqbah choked the Prophet SAW whilst he was praying and Abu Bakr RA found out and came to stop this. Abu Bakr RA stopped Uqbah and Allah SWT quoted what Abu Bakr RA said to Uqbah in the Qur’an. When Abu Bakr did this, the Quraysh almost beat him to death since, his own tribe would no longer protect him.
One of the worst examples of persecution of the Prophet SAW, was when Ibn Masud saw the Prophet SAW praying in front of the Kabah and Abu Jahal told his cronies to throw the entrails of a dead camel onto the back of the Prophet SAW. Uqbah volunteered to do this and he got the entrails and threw them onto the back of Muhammad SAW when he was in the sajdah. The Quraysh then laughed and the Prophet SAW couldn’t lift himself up due to the weight of the entrails. He remained in sajdah until Fatimah RA at 8 years old came and helped her father SAW get the entrails off his back. The Prophet SAW got up and made dua against all of these oppressors by name and Ibn Masud stated that, all of them were killed in the Battle of Badr.
Towards the 8th-10th year of the Dawah, the Quraysh tried to assassinate the Prophet SAW. These assassination attempts all failed and the assassins themselves, were all of those dead in the Battle of Badr.
    Daarul Arqam
This became the first place Muslims congregated shortly after the dawah went public in the 3rd year. Al Arqam’s home became the place Muslims congregated because Al Arqam belonged to the tribe of Banu Makhzum aka Abu Jahal’s tribe, which was the last place anyone would expect to find the Muslims praying. It also became the place for congregation since Al Arqam was one of the earliest converts to Islam, which meant he could be trusted. Daarul Arqam was a stone’s throw away from the Kabah.
    The First Immigration to Abyssinia
In Rajab of the 5th year of the Dawah, the Prophet SAW suggested to the Muslims, that there was a just Christian king in the land of Abyssinia, where they could worship Allah SWT in peace. So, the Prophet SAW allowed the sahabah to immigrate to Abyssinia and 17 of them left, which included 12 men and 5 women. When the Muslims got there they were not persecuted at all and lived comfortably.
    Abu Bakr’s Protector
Abu Bakr was going to leave for Abyssinia during the first migration too, since his tribe had decided that they would no longer protect him. But, as he was leaving, ibn Dagina, the chief of a tribe near Makkah, told him that he would protect him so, that the Quraysh can no longer harm him. This came with one condition that Abu Bakr does not pray salaah in public. But, later this deal was taken back and Abu Bakr RA remained in Makkah with only the protection of Allah SWT and no tribe.
Fun Trivia fact: Quba Masjid was the first house of worship built in Islam by the Prophet SAW since the Kabah was surrounded by idols.
Fun Trivia fact: Muslims can live in non-Muslim lands, so long as we can worship Allah SWT without any restrictions by the government. The Muslims of Abyssinia are a role model of this.
Fun Trivia fact: Umar RA chose Muharram as the first month of the Islamic Calendar since, it’s the month when the Hujjaj go home and start fresh.
Fun Trivia fact: One of the punishments in Islamic Law, that is no longer practiced, is that of temporary exile. This is for petty crimes.
Fun Trivia fact: Once Abu Lahab sided with Abu Talib against Abu Jahal. It was one of the few times, that Abu Lahab did something to benefit Islam without intention.
Fun Trivia fact: Muhammad SAW was the only one, who regularly prayed salaah in front of the Kabah and Abu Bakr sometimes joined him. Before the conversion of Umar RA, a Muslim would have had to be really brave, to pray in front of the Kabah.
Fun Trivia fact: There is no definitive academic date, for the journey of Al Isra Wal Miraj. But, the scholarly opinion is that it happened, after the passing’s of Abu Talib & Khadijah and after the incident of Ta’if.
Fun Trivia fact: Umar RA had the title of Al Farooq which, means one who distinguishes from right and wrong.
Fun Trivia fact: Abu Lahab was the only one who defected from the Banu Hashim in order to avoid being boycotted. Thus he stayed in Makkah.
    ==========================================================
Disclaimer for my Notes of Sheikh Yasir Qadhi’s Seerah of the Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam Series:
Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh, these are my notes on Sheikh Yasir Qadhi’s Seerah series.
Please note: I HIGHLY recommend that you all watch YQ’s Seerah series, as I DON’T cover every single detail the Sheikh mentions. I made these notes primarily for myself but, decided my fellow brothers and sisters may benefit from them too. I no doubt will have made mistakes in my notes. All the good in these notes is from Allah SWT and all the mistakes are from myself. But, I was very meticulous and tried my best to make sure everything is accurate as the Sheikh mentions it.
You also will see I have added “Fun Trivia facts” under each of my notes. These FTFs are information YQ said that was off topic or not necessary to include in my notes for the episode. But, they were still worth mentioning hence the inclusion as FTFs. FTFs aren’t always HAPPY pieces of information. Sometimes they are very sad trivia. I just want to say that FTF is the phrase I used for them all collectively when making the notes.
One thing I wanted to do but am too lazy to do is, maybe someone could take the FTFs from under each “Episode” and make an Islamic reminder/information IG/TikTok account and post them daily or something. Could be a great form of Sadaqah Jaariyah.
Please keep me in your Duas and ask Allah SWT to forgive all our sins during this blessed month and beyond! Ameen

It’s quite likely that Abu Bakr (RA) quoted him, using this verse.

Sounds good, I know people who actually immigrated from the US to Syria.. stayed there 3 years and came back. No jobs, collapsing economy, no heating in winter and no AC in summer, no electricity, no business and no future. The governments of those so called”Muslim countries “ is so corrupt that one has to wonder whether life is more dignified in a non- Muslim land now… maybe that’s because there is no such thing as a Muslim land? Please do suggest where a Muslim should do Hijra to from the US these days where they can live and feed their families and I’d be happy to follow that advise

How is it that muhamad while praying at the kabah allows someone to creep up from behind and wrap a shawl around his neck to choke him and he is not aware that this person is approaching?, even though there are hoards of people around. This conquering hero who allows this person to choke him from behind without an instinct to protect himself and fight back? and then to call it torture? Sorry but this story does not make sense at all, and then why would allah protect him in one instance and not at this instance also does not make sense. It sounds as if you are trying to portray him in the light of Jesus Christ and that will never happen. If muslims would just read their own scriptures instead of taking every imams word for it, they will learn the truth of who their prophet really was.

I would recommend you rewatch the section. Nothing can be interpreted as he allowed a man to choke him. Allah did save him, through Abu Bakr.

He was praying to his Lord in public and someone came behind him and started abusing him because of that.
Just because he didn’t move away from his position doesn’t mean that he was completely unaware of someone approaching him. He was aware but he was devoted to worshipping his Lord.
Allah did protect him in that circumstance as well. That’s why Abu Bakr came and got the man off of him.
You also seem to be ignoring the fact that Prophet Muhammad eventually did become victorious over his people like Allah had promised him.
