It doesnt have a true rhyme, but songwriters and poets have been stretching the definition of rhyme as long as lyrics and poetry have existed.
There are so so so many types of rhymes.
Consonance- sharing rhe same consonant sound (month/mouse, muse/rhyme)
Assonace- sharing the same vowel sound (this example, mouse/shower)
Alliteration- repetition of the same beginning sound (soul sounds serene, battered buttered biscuits)
And honestly, so many more. I had to do a whole presentation on poetry for a writing class, and the types of rhymes took up about half the slides, and even then, I didn't cover them all.
I really like how at the beginning of this scene, Adam was tricking Charlie with the virtual handshake, but at the end of the song, its menacingly revealed that he had the power to be physical with her the whole time.
He might have also been gauging how trusting and easily fooled she was with that little prank >3>

Two things I love about this scene:
-Lute being a fantastic hype man for Adam. I love that you can tell she has the exact same high school bully energy as him but just keeps it restrained under a serious "angelic" demeanor.
-When Adam grabs Charlie at the end, the fact that his hologram buzzes shows it's not just a mistake by the showrunners, it's a deliberate choice to show us that Adam could have chosen to be tangible the whole time. He was truly just fucking with Charlie earlier, and is more powerful than he lets on.
I thought I was the only person that noticed that Adam's hologram became tangible! I thought that was just SUCH a power move.
Thanks for noticing that, I didn't realize it. That small detail helps emphasize the power of the Exorcists. We are told at the end of the episode that nobody was able to kill one until recently. Even if we learned that these evil angels aren't invincible, we get that trying to fight them is a tall order. But Charlie and the friends she makes are going to have to.

I've been saying this for a few days now but I think in a sense she's WORST than Adam. Adam has history, Adam has a chip on his shoulder, Adam SHOULD love this. Lute? She just DOES love it. No reason to. Usually the 2nd in command falls in to one of two categories. They secretly love and look up to their boss. Or they have something to prove. I dont think Lute has either. I'm under the impression that she's just... again, awful lol.
With that said though... I LOVE how mad she makes me every time i see her. I'm excited for her and Vaggie to have a helluva boss style fight scene lol.

Adam is my favorite character by FAR and the reason for that is because Alex Brightman went SO INSANELY FUCKING HARD with his voice acting, singing, etc. His whole performance in HH is some of the BEST voice acting in all of cartoons/adult animation.
Adam is THE definition of a character that you LOVE to HATE.

@@billqiu4692 Yeah, to stop an uprising. Which they literally just did in season 1, hell Velvet wanted to make a "power grab" and wage war immediately, not for anyones protection or sake. Just because she wanted to kill them.

Lute is cute as hell. Love her evil grin, her bully vibe with Adam. Really cool to see, you honestly don't see a female character actually being SUPPORTIVE of a male character very often, let alone being a hype man. It's refreshing to see even if they are the bad guys lol.

@@aallfik11 This is something I've been thinking about. We saw the streets of hell on Charlie's walk over. Murderers, cannibals, perverts, rapists, most definitely a lot of p*d0s in there. And yet Adam is the villain because he enjoys exterminating them.

I just noticed that Adam makes fun of her naivety, but never shows direct animosity to her (aside from throwing her out of the meeting room, which was just a show of power). He makes a hell lot of fun of the sinners but never implies that he's hostile to her or other hellborne. Just the sinners, as it was agreed upon.
Which points to him being well aware that he shouldn't directly threaten Lucifer and/or his family. He's not as dumb as people think.
In heaven he doesn't even register Charlie being up there. He only freaks out because VAGGIE is there in heaven again. He doesn't really have anything personally against Charlie until she nearly succeeds in ending the exterminations in court.
Lucifer's role is said to be against the extermination, but he's also not allowed to interfere.
He understands all of how the things in hell work, whether he's for or against it. He also mentioned how he tried to give sinners a redemption in his past but angels don't listen to anyone but themselves.
What allowed Lucifer to interfere is because Charlie is not a Demon AT ALL. She's an Angel born in hell, both of her parents are Angels. They are never described as Fallen Angels, only Vaggie and exorcists have been.
That last line is a bit ironic considering directly threatening to kill charlie is what got him killed

Charlie’s original vision is for the Hazbin Hotel to be a rehabilitation center, so sinners can go to Heaven instead of dying after each extermination. “Because everyone deserves another chance!”
But then when she sees Adam’s personality, it changes to “It would be a lot less effort for you!”
Key to selling something: know your target audience.
She’s talking to an egotistical angel in lead of killing demons, she’s just trying to appeal to him so he’ll at least try to listen, not that she actually believes it.
She was there right off the bat - when she brings it up, it’s with the idea Adam would get credit for the idea. When he’s not interested in that, she changes gears to frame it as less of a hassle for him if Hell is self sufficient. And then in the latest episode where she bribes Cherri to take the entire hotel out and not push Angel too far…Charlie knows how to deal with terrible people. The fact she chooses to see the good in them doesn’t mean she’s not very familiar with the kind of habits that terrible people practice.
Not realizing that he not just enjoys killing Sinners.

During one of Adam's last verses, you can hear the sound of people in the background clapping to the rhythm and echoing what he's saying, which matches a lotta popular gospel music, which I thought was a nice note, whether or not it was intentional.
Well the golden angels are clapping for him in earlier scenes so makes sense
Wait this comment gave me flashbacks to those Christian rock songs they played at church and sometimes they was kinda fire. You're right, the repitition of the chorus with no instrumental with the clapping to beat is on point.
