I really LOVE your videos. I don’t use them for sleep, but to calm down after a hard day. I watch the Milky Way and all the stars …. But I think the video itself, the speed how the sky moves is way too fast, when you watch. Maybe you can do the next one with 50% speed reduced? 🥺👍❤️

What’s really cool, besides saying airplanes go by, you can also see satellites going across the Milky Way and also occasional shooting star.

I don't really know why but, I get this calming and mesmerising feeling. Like I'm in a peaceful state, my brain is just turning off the stress and tiredness from me. The feeling is truly mesmerising and ethereal, like the milky way. But this is a sight you'll see once in your lifetime.

Wow, that's awesome. Love the many different and contrasting foregrounds, especially the flowing water ones. Many people are going to probably write, "I can't imagine how long this took you,", but i definitely know how much effort was put into this! Bravo! Wonder if I’ll ever get to the southern hemisphere to see this, most of us in the northern hemisphere don’t have such spectacular night skies.
Hi thanks for watching and your comment. Most of these sequences in this film were captured in Joshua tree, California and Acadia National park in Maine. Those are great areas with very dark skies. The Adirondacks in upstate New York is also amazing. Hope you have clear and dark skies! 👍🌚🌌

Hi thanks for watching! To answer your question we mostly use Sony full frame mirrorless cameras, such as a7 series.
Also, for lenses typically 12-24 mm and fast speed at least f2.8.

As someone who is looking of getting into photography as a hobby, especially night shots of the heavens, how do you capture the stars and milky way is such clearness? Do you have to use a special filter or is primarily edited after the fact?
Hi thanks for watching and your question. You need to use full frame sensor camera and also a lens that lets in a lot of light, so at least f2.8 or faster. For this film we mostly used Sony A7Iv and a7iii…however they are astro-modified cameras which allows them to pick up more of the red/pink wavelengths present in the hydrogen (h-alpha) nebulas in deep space.
So there is no special filter used, however you need full frame sensor, lenses that let in lot of light, and also the astro-modification helps get more rich color and detail. Everything is captured in raw format and then edited in post.
We are also using a specialized timelapse software called LRTimelapse for developing the sequences.

How did the barnard's loop come out so clear and red for single exposure,? As evident by yiur time lapse?
Thanks for watching! We are utilizing a specialized technique I developed using two cameras filming at same time that combine all the data using very fast lenses and special astro-modification on the sensors.

It is a fantasy video but it would be fantastic to be able to spot at simple sight a supernova in the night sky 0:07 0:32 0:56 1:44 at 3:00 blue would be older and red would be newer 6:47
I just wish they wouldn’t push the post processing and saturation levels of the sky into the insanity zone where the sky looks like saturation was pushed to 100 but the land looks a little more normal.

Beautiful but everything is very busy, not relaxing. The images are constantly changing. The universe is speeding through every scene. Too much stimulation.
Are these videos fake?
Not at all!! 100% real. They were filmed using an astro-modified camera that allows us to see the nebulas in space.
They don't look fake at all. They look definitely 100% real to me.
