As to coping with it? Well that is a problem I don’t think any of us have an answer to since the best we have is water, fans and windows and they haven’t been doing much.
(Also something I’ve found odd is how it is still hot during the night and only really cold by morning- then again I do feel it cooling as I write this at 21:13)
