These stages are so much better than the main game's. Just goes to show that past entries had better level designs and the current company doesn't know how to design a good R-Type stage.
I agree. Probably because the past R-TYPEs were created with ambidextrous skills and super detailed dot graphics. Since they “have to” remake those graphics into present polygons and textures, it resulted in much better designs of DLCs.

Current version on PS5 the Z3 Boss doesn't use it's tentacles.
I hope this will be fixed in next update.
