Somehow the only thing worse than the FAT filesystem is macOS' handling of it, the thing can crash on a FAT filesystem that IT BROKE ITSELF. Don't get me wrong, it played music and showed pics or videos, but the overall feel of it was not more than crappy. Especially after comparing to my player that I had, iriver t10, that one was excellent, good quality and excellent sound, lasted really long on 1 AA rechargeable 2300mAh battery. Also, I remember, this im8 or acme or whatever the hell it could have been and many other turds alike had a very specific and shitty video format that they could play, and they only played that, not even 3gp. You had to use some crappy piece of software that came on a CD with this player to convert the mp4s or avis to that damn format . Never understood why these idiots didn't make it work with mp4s or whatever, but they deliberately used some very weird and extremely uncommon video format that even windows couldn't open it, only that damn piece of stupid software. This was not a Craig by any means, but was like really trying to be Craig. By the way, my iriver t10 is still very much operational and is 15 or 16 years old already.
Hello. Another interesting fact that you may already know, but I'll tell you anyway: IRiver is now Astell & Kern. They still make players, but now they make very expensive, designer, top-tier audio players. The Astell & Kern A&Ultima SP3000 costs about 7,000 US dollars.
