But my main thing is diamond painting and I make diamond painting pens with clay and was thinking about experimenting with alcohol inks and I actually tried to follow this video last night a whew it was not pretty 😂 note to self. There’s such a thing as too much color and it makes a poopy color lol

Omg I just came across your videos & now have spent the last hour watching through so many of your videos! I only started creating with Polymer Clay & Resin about 6 months ago so loving some new tips & tricks you're teaching me!
Question - I see you roll your clay out on paper & it comes away pretty clean? Is it normal paper? I use a ceramic tile usually and the clay sticks and I can't lift my pieces up to move around etc easily!
Aww thanks for watching!!! Yes just regular copy paper or some times I use baking paper. But just remember do not leave the clay on the paper too long because you can leach your clay and that just means all the oil is going to be pulled out and your clay is left dry and brittle sometimes just depending on the clay. I usually use depth guides that at 3mm or 0 or 1 pasta machine it really depends on how I’m going to finish them. If I’m going to do resin I usually do them thinner.
Whoah these came out awesome. Did the resin layer bring out the pink inks more for some reason? Or was the resin slightly tinted?
The resin wasn’t tinted. The colors just pop so much more with the resin.
Alcohol ink being flammable, how long did you wait for it to dry and bake? What tempeture and time you use when baking it?
Yea because you bake at such a low temp you don't have to worry about anything catching on fire. I usually don't have to let it sit if I don't want to. I bake at about 250-265 depending on the clay.

How long do you bake them for ? What brand top coat do you use ?
It really depends on the clay, but I personally bake most of my jewelry for about a hour and 15 minutes at 250°. I use art resin to coat all of my jewelry. This is the one I use amzn.to/3FPTYNY

Wow. incredible. I'm an alcohol ink artist but never tried inks on polymer clay. Super excited to try it but I have a concern about that is it safe to put alcohol ink clay material into the oven as inks are flammable. Please guide me.
Ohh that’s a great question! See you bake the Clay at such a low temperature you have nothing to worry about! Also I let the ink fully dry before I put in oven so there is nothing to catch a flame!! Happy Creating!!!

Love your work and that you tell us your next step & why you're doing what you're doing. I have a couple questions: is the base layer white, translucent, or a combo? Does alcohol ink change the consistency of the clay? Thanks!
Thanks for watching! I use a base layer of white. Not really, but it is wise if you let it dry a bit before you roll it, but not necessary.

Yes I was prototyping but indefinitely will make a full collection.
