- I went to Central Park to use the row boats and do a scenic tour of the park while giving some real estate knowledge and fun facts. I could barely finish and ran into numerous people!

People that do engagement photos in public places should just friggin deal with other people being in the shot. Honestly.
Also if the photographer is actually good they can edit out the other people

One time a couple was getting married on that bridge and they were annoyed people were crossing it! I walked super slow on purpose.
Nick’s complaining brings me so much joy. 🥰 I mean, I hate that he was so miserable, but man… he’s fun to watch being miserable.

Fun fact: All of the above ground water features in Central Park are man made. No sewage. The entire park was designed for aesthetic photo opportunities. However, there is a real river running through the park that is rerouted underground through a sophisticated system.
Yes man made….and built over several neighbors where blacks lived and were pushed out for sake of said aesthetics!

@@dominiqueprice3304a lot of cities did this and then eventually just put highways through black neighborhoods to break them up as well. U.S. History and modern times are disgusting most of the time

I just appreciate that Nick chooses to be honest about how he feels and what he finds valuable. Society has trained us to do things because other people claim they're worthwhile. Nick's superpower is his relentless honesty about exactly how many points things deserve. It's the dark existential comedy of the discomfort of living in a world of forced feelings and expectations. If he had a slogan, it would be "Nick Smith: Doing life, but not down with life". 😂 Also, if you were a Disney character, you would have to be Eeyore. ❤

This is my favorite Nick clip! I think you are so brave for undertaking an outdoor activity and letting us join you. The real estate review was particularly special, even if brief. The turtles showed up JUST for you!
Part of me worries how you felt the day after, without a turtle shell to protect you. Several coats of different brands of sunscreen, sunscreen, and more sunscreen were needed, but perhaps you had that and still felt the heat.
You didn't ruin anyone's engagement photos - any more than they ruined your social media clip. We all need to share the road. I mean waves. I mean ripples... It seems they did cool down their heat quickly, so it all worked out, mostly because you were a gentleman about it!

The Dakota was also where the film ROSEMARY'S BABY was filmed. It had a more dreary Victorian look at the time. Boating with Nick was not as pictured in MAURICE but so much more entertaining. Afterwards Nick deserves to be treated to a cafe' brunch or lupper with a tall cool libation of his own choice.

Hahahahaha!! You know, my husband and I went with friends to do a canoeing trip down a river. I stupidly chose the five mile instead of the one mile, and my husband and I hated every minute. Boats should have motors. There, I said it.

Nick, I feel for you...I am built similarly to you (tall and lanky), but I'm not in nearly as good a shape as you, so I would have done even worse in this situation--there would have been wrecks, capsized boats, near-drownings, turtles flailing about, and possibly explosions if I did what you did! (And in less time, alas!) So, well done to you for at least giving it a go, because from my perspective, you did quite good! :)
