That is such a dishonest quote. I, and many other sthiests, value live incredibly because we know one day the lights go out and that's it. I make the most of every day, have as much fun with my friends and family, try to make a difference where I can and hope that my limited time here made a difference to someone else. It's the only one I get so I'm not taking it for granted.

If dinosaurs lived 65/66 million years ago, some questions:
    This is your worldview:
    1) Dinosaurs lived 65 million years ago, man didn't exist with them, and some catastrophic event occurred (asteroid/change in atmospheric conditions/a n other - take your pick), and wiped all the dinosaurs out.
If this is the case, how did all the other mammals survive? Why could they live with the dinosaurs, then the "event" occurred, and the smaller animals survived in the new atmosphere? And, I'm guessing, your primate was one of the surviving animals, which then evolved into man?
    Or
    2) Dinosaurs lived 65 million years ago WITH man. Then the "event" happened. How did mankind survive, and the dinosaurs didn't?
    Or
    3) Dinosaurs lived on earth, something happened to wipe them out, every animal died, then life began again, and your "miracle" bacteria starting producing life again. This begs the question - why? And also how did the dinosaurs' life begin, before the event which wiped them out? Did this miracle bacteria make the dinosaurs, they got wiped out, then the miracle bacteria started to make life again, following the death of the dinosaurs?
The "event" points to a flood. Dinosaurs are buried in sedimentary rock, often in the death pose, with their heads twisted backwards, gasping for their last breath. If these huge creatures drowned, how did man survive?
Next, the word "pre historic." Prehistoric simply means "before historical records." Historians refer to ancient Mesopotamia as the cradle of civilisation - it's where all the ancient writings are found, and these date back circa 4000 - 5000 years old This area is also referred to the fertile crescent, in, and around the Nile, and Egypt.
If, by accepting one of the 3 points above, why did the dinosaurs die out, man suddenly become clever in one area on earth, and was able to communicate his ideas in writings etc?
Where did Egypt come from, and why is it called Egypt? Where do the Canaanites come from, and why are they referenced as such?
And why did the "evolving man" shed all his fur, then got cold, and decided he needed fur to keep warm? How did man discover fire, and why, as an evolved primate, was he not scared of it, as are every other animals on earth?
Lastly, if the dinosaurs were wiped out millions of years ago, and man is relatively young (as in your worldview, man evolved over millions/hundreds of thousands of years) where are all the skeletons for each step of the evolutionary process, and how old is mankind?

    • @richardgregory3684
      @richardgregory3684 Před měsícem +4

Mammals certainly co-existed with dinosaurs. How did they survive? Because the mammals were all small, could generate their own body heat, many were scavengers and insect eaters, and many lived in underground burrows. These were advantages in the period after the asteroid impact: burrows provided protection, and mammals can survive sudden cold, giant reptiles who needed a constant supply of vast quantities of food could not. There was plenty of carrion and insects. Lots of mammals died out too. And species more acient than dinosaurs survived - corcodilians for example: their slow metablism, sheltering in water etc enabled them to live through it.
Gumans did not live alongside the dinosaurs We're veyr much later than them (though, technically, birds are dinosaurs, of a sort). Humans adapted to live on plains, and to be persistence hunter tool users. A human can outrun almost any animal over long periods. We can sweat over out entire skins, and have virtually no fur, so we los eheat very efficiently. We do not run quickly, but can maintain it for days (some African tribes still do this). Humans invented clothes so they could migrate to cold areas their natural bodies are unsuited to. Humans are instinctively afraid of fire, but we use our intelligence to overcome that fear.
Dead dinosaurs have arched necks and backs because of contracture of the back muscles and spine post mortem. This effect is seen n modern dead aniamls too.

These were advantages in the period after the asteroid impact: burrows provided protection, and mammals can survive sudden cold, giant reptiles who needed a constant supply of vast quantities of food could not. "
Straight away, this sentence alone contradicts the *official* narrative.
According to the American Museum of Natural History, "To explain what caused this mass extinction, scientists have focused on events that would have altered our planet's climate in dramatic, powerful ways. The leading theory is that a huge asteroid or comet slammed into Earth 65 million years ago, blocking sunlight, changing the climate and setting off global wildfires."
So the sun was blocked (cold atmosphere), but fires persisted (heat???). Fires burn things. How come the dinosaur skeletons aren't destroyed, and what exactly buried them? If you die where you die, earth doesn't suddenly bury you. Your "scavengers" would consume your carcass, and the bones themselves.

@@marcj3682 _So the sun was blocked (cold atmosphere), but fires persisted (heat???). Fires burn things_
How long do you think the fires would have burnt? Sheesh, a forest burns for a few hours or days - the blockage on sunlight woul dhave persistem for months, or even years. And a forest fire wouldn;t be enugh to heat the whole world, just locally. More, the smoke and particulates would have blocked even more sunlight, intensifying and prolonging the cold. That;s a major factor in the nuclear winter scenarios. And of course, if the vegetation burned, the plant-eaters would have died out. And then the carnovires that ate the plant eaters.
_How come the dinosaur skeletons aren't destroyed, and what exactly buried them_
You know that dinosaurs existed for many millions of years, right? They were around long, long before they died out. Most of the dinosaurs fossils we unearth today did NOT die in that event. but long before it. And no, most scavengers do NOT eat bones. They pick the flesh off them. Tere are few anials today that specifically eat bone; it is unsually only eaten incidentally (by predators that eat their prey whole, or or large pieces) or eaten only in very small amounts, many aniamls will eat or chew on small amounts of bone for the minerals.

You have people who believe the earth is about 6 thousand, then some say billions. Who is right? The earth is billions of years old, not thousands. The Bible tells us this if you take it back to its original meaning. We have problems understanding the Word. Just pray for knowledge so you won't misslead others. For that is a sin also.
