Honestly your natural hair was already damaged. The relaxer just topped it off
😭😭
You a liar, how was her natural hair damage, her natural hair was thick and full. And looked like it can get fuller and thicker if she takes care of it. By God’s grace in Jesus Name. That relaxer made her hair look dead.
She need to just shave it off and start over. And don’t put that crack back in her hair.
@@user-cy2xt4cw4mYou can see all the dead ends it was definitely damaged.
Her natural hair wasn't damaged. I have same texture as her, her hair is very soft . The relaxer just stayed toi long in her hair that's why it gave her bone straight
I'm sorry. Do be honest you had what looked like fine strands and medium to low density hair even in the afro state. Relaxing bone straight did not help matters
I don’t even know😭 in summary I ignored all these (because I didn’t even know) and went straight on to ruin my hair😩
I’m giving it another shot tho. Hopefully the hair survives🙏🏾
I saw the same thing. I think some people go to a stylist hoping for a miracle. Relaxing hair when it is already see through in its natural state will never end well.
You are telling the truth her hair is fine and a relaxer will be to harsh on her hair….
Yeah I have medium density and fine strands...when I had relaxed hair growing up it did me no favors either even though my hair was long. I look like i have a full head of hair when natural which i prefer. If you don't have thick high density hair i feel like you're more than likely going to not like a full relaxer. A texlax would be a wiser choice. For me I'm natural now for several years. Every once in awhile i think about it then look at photos and remind myself it just doesn't work for fine medium density hair to achieve the look I'd want.
Of course there's no texture...it's fully relaxed. of course they cut your hair the ends in the afro state were so see-through. 😅
This reminds me of the very last time I had a salon that didn’t know what they were doing mess my hair up. I did the walk of shame and everything. I literally went natural that next day because I vowed to never let someone else do my hair and I’ve never looked back. I’m sorry your hair was ruined (we’ve all been there). I hope you get to a happy place with your hair soon.
Oh sorry about your experience❤️
Thank you so much for your kind words🙏🏾 I really appreciate❤️❤️
It doesn't look that bad actually when it's slicked back in a side ponytail. But your hair was fine to begin with and not that long so it's going to be thinner when it's relaxed.
Thank you😭❤️
You helped me change my mind. Leaving my hair natural 😊
You’re welcome then😌
But tbh if you go to a saloon that know what they’re doing, you might not regret it❤️ You just go with your guts..
Yeah a stylist didn't wash the relaxer out well and within a week all of my shoulder length hair fell out. I just don't trust hairdressers anymore. The stylist told me it was likely because I sweat. Then she said, "at least I have my hair". This is the third and last time I will trust a hairdresser.
O so sorry about your experience🫂❤️
I realize now that I shouldn’t be too quick to trust a stylist until I’m sure he/she knows what they’re doing. I hope we don’t have to go through any more horrible experiences again❤️❤️
Girl, I'm sorry this happened to your hair, but this video really made me laugh. You're so funny and cute 🤣
😂😂
Thank youuu🥹😭😅
She is.😅😅😅😅😅especially 14:01😅😅😅😅😅😅
You have a beautiful skin tone, your skin is glowing. You are an attractive woman. You are a natural beauty. Your hair just needed a trim and a blow dry and silk press or roller set. You need to stay natural. Do some hot oil treatments and use some natural hair sprays such as rosemary, mint and clove,The relaxer has damaged your hair! Your hair is fragile, and she is saying that she does not like the relaxer. Listen to your hair! Stop putting these potentially dangerous and harmful chemicals on your natural hair. Embrace your natural beauty. Your God given natural beauty.
Your video made me laugh, in large part because of the faces you made when you realized you made a mistake! 😂 I’m so sorry that you were disappointed by the results. At the same time, it’s great that you maintained a great sense of humor through it all. Fortunately, it’s just hair; it will grow back! 🙏🏾♥️
😭😂
Your words are kind🥺🙏🏾 Thank you for reminding me that it’s just hair and it’ll grow back. I’m definitely holding on these words. Thank you🙏🏾❤️❤️
@@plangdes You are so welcome! You are a beautiful, smart young woman!! Hair is just an adornment. So many things can happen to cause our hair to grow or not grow, so please don’t let this get you down. I know it’s hard, but if you’re able to focus on what you learned from this experience, it will help you as you learn to take care of your hair! You got this!!! 💕💕💕
@@aic0809your heart is kind!🥺 I really appreciate you!🙏🏾 thank youuu❤️
@@plangdes Aww! You’re so welcome little sis! 🥰😍
It’s the walk of shame for me😭😭😭 I think you should have texturized it instead😭😭 I feel your pain sis😫😫😫
😭😂
Shebi you would have mentioned this texturizing thing ever since?😪
Not the less thank you for feeling my pain dear😭❤️
I could literally feel your pain in your voice. No worries, hair never stops growing. We all live and we all learn.
Thank you!❤️
Important reminder- hair never stops growing…
Wow girl, I’m sorry this happened to you. Relaxers are bad for our health anyway. At this point just grow it out trim what’s needed, and wear twists, braids (without extensions) and wear headwraps. Watch 22nd Century Natural Woman she bands her hair as a protective style she definitely taught me how to retain length and grow my hair. She wears headwraps in the winter time to retain moisture. I highly recommend her techniques.
Thank youuuu🙏🏾 I really appreciate your input. I’ll sure check out 22nd Century Natural Woman and hopefully I find helpful tips for my hair there. Thank you once more❤️
@@plangdesyou’re welcome😊❤.
I'm guessing you were the only one crying 😂😂 all you needed was a silk press!!! Your hair is very fine you didn't even need a relaxer. I know you might wanted one but it was not needed
I hear you but officially no one literally needs a relaxer but you are right about her natural hair being fine so yeah it got even finer as relaxers break down our outermost layer of hair follicle thereby WEAKENING our hair. It’ll grow back she should shave it off…start fresh.
@@jacquelynn2051 no one needs one but for people like her she really DIDNT need one
A roller set with her natural hair would have also been a better alternative. The hair would have more body, rather than look thin as a wafer with the relaxer. The relaxer which is the devil's crack has literally damaged her hair. Something relaxer is notorious for. The lady needs to go back to natural and stay natural.
@@mariepearl-harbour2335 she should and if she wanted straight hair she should have gotten a wig or weave or something because that relaxer wasn’t needed
@@Dr.RoseQuartz To see the hair length then a natural straightening process such as a blowdry, silk press or roller set with a wrap would have been better. But a chemical relaxer is a big no, no. The chemical relaxer did more damage than good.
I’m so sorry but girlll I can’t stop laughing 😂😂😂😭
Please laugh. I’ve earned the laugh😢
😂😂
I made this mistake. I grew it out, carried braids or fixing for two months and when it was overdue I just focused on the new growth and continued like that for two years straight up and gradually cut off the relaxed part because it was too thin. I had to learn how to balance my protein and moisture on my hair especially on my ends. After two years and some months am relaxed again but this time around I learned how to do everything by myself from tetlaxing to deep conditioning to braiding. The only thing I go to the salon for just twice a year is for Christmas knotless braids and easter hair but before then I've prepared my hair already and no need for coming cos I've done everything before heading to the salon. My hair was very very very limp when I go regularly to the same to relax my hair but after the nightmare I had to learn by myself though it was very painful for me but thank God I make my hair oils and handle things for myself. Now my relaxed hair is full and almost reaching bra strap because I focus on new growth during relaxing which I do by myself twice a year and spray mixed water oil and conditioner mixture on my braids once a week for two months straight before take down. It's a lot of work but it's sooo worth it.
Wow👏👏
I admire your resilience, dedication and passion. Thank you for taking your time out to let me in on how you got through the same season I’m in. I really appreciate your time and efforts in typing this🙏🏾 I’ve already made up my mind that hence forth I’m doing everything myself. Saloon visits are strictly for braids and every other thing I’ll try to do it myself.
I really appreciate you! Thank you🙏🏾❤️
Awwww I’m so sorry this happened to u ❤❤❤
I am sorry that it didn't work out for you..I hope that you grow back healthy hair again
Amen. thank you 🙏🏾
I’m so scared of relaxers 😩😩 it’s why I cut my hair when I’m tired of Natural hair and start afresh again
I should have gotten this OT earlier. Relaxer did me dirty!😭
@@plangdes it’ll get better ❤️🩹, you can try cutting it and and starting afresh or just stay away from relaxers and use good hair products
I don't judge women who go thru this phase. I am a woman and I go back & forth in my head too about these relaxers. In the end of my thoughts, I stick to natural. I haven't had any problems. Just get lazy at times and don't feel like doing it. Other than that, I deal with it. Natural hair is the most healthiest texture you can get. The purity of natural hair...love it.
Fried and layed to the side🤦🏽♀😂
😭😂🥺😂
girrl...I did my first relaxer myself and this was after watching relaxer videos...I was extra careful and it was even a bit under processed. Sorry you had to go through that though...it will grow back.
O good for you. I have personally learnt a great lesson.
Thank you❤️
Same thing happened to me. Don't worry it will grow back!
🫂🥺❤️
Thank you for your reassuring words🙏🏾❤️❤️
Locs would have looked beautiful on you, I have trust issues with the hair salon, so I have been doing my own hair for years, the hairdresser should not have left the relaxer in for that long. Sometimes I feel like they are lowkey jealous of your hair and will do anything to ruin it smh, sorry this happened to you hun.
I just thought locs was a long term commitment and I wasn’t sure if I was mentally ready for that but now I see how locs would have looked perfect on me😭
I’ve resolved to doing my hair myself henceforth because the hair dresser I went to had absolutely no idea how natural to relaxed hair works😩
Thank you not the less❤️❤️
Honestly, you weren't a good candidate for a relaxer in the first place. Your hair is too thin, fine strands, unhealthy ends, not much length just a bad idea overrall lol.
☹️😭😭
You have a beautiful face and beautiful skin- you are beautiful! The relaxer must have been too strong and even left on the hair too long.
Yeah you’re right. I’ve learnt my lesson though.
Also thank you for your nice words 🎈
Wow relaxers are alright if used by a professional. I’m transitioning to natural cause it’s hard to find one / get consistent results where I’m from 😅Good luck on your healthy hair journey!
That statement “if used by a professional” was the part I missed😭 I wish you all the best in your natural journey❤️ and thank you for your concern🤲🏾😭❤️
You took braids out then relaxed your hair right after. It also looked over processed
🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️
Aww, I feel your pain
🥺 thank youuu🫂💕
Stop using heat, start using a hair bonder like Oloplex 0 and Oloplex 3. Keep your hair once a month, don't over do anything. Lest your hair grows out only use some heat on your new growth so it matches the relaxed hair but you can turn this around. Time your relaxer and don't go over the relax time. I'm not a hairdresser just speaking out loud on what I would do.. You got this.
Kind of you to share what you would do if you were in my shoes. I really appreciate you🙏🏾
I’m more gentle now and taking it a day at a time. Hopefully it gets better and I feel more satisfied with my hair journey. I really do appreciate all the tips you took time out to share with me🙏🏾
It's her spraying that water and it's not doing shit 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Don’t judge me I was trying my best here😭😂 I’ve only known how to manage natural hair and water fixes almost everything with natural hair so I thought I might get some volume/definition by adding water to the fried hair😭
😂 This video is the best. Did you plaster your hair or you cut the hair and used glue to glue it. Relaxer gone wrong.
😂😂 relaxer really gone wrong
Don’t worry I’ll laugh last😢🤗
So sorry you had a bad experience. It reminded me of bad experiences with stylists who were clueless about what they were doing. Yes, your natural hair was a bit fine but the relaxer stayed in too long. I was also surprised to hear of all the plans you had for your relaxed hair am like gurllllllll has big plans for her relaxed hair, slow down lol relaxed hair is very fragile it requires consistency, patience and TLC for it to flourish. Thank you for sharing your experience. Hopefully your hair will bounce back.
😭😂😂
I honestly thought I’ll move from relaxed to slayyyyy 💅 in a few seconds but that relaxer had other plans😭😭 I’ve learnt the hard way that indeed patience, consistency and proper care are key ingredients to that slay. Thank youuu❤️❤️
Every available hair mistake!!! 😂😂
I made it😭😂
Glowing mama ❣🌹
🙊🥺
You have fine thin hair and you needed a hood trim you shoulda jus got a blowout or even silk press n eventually braided back up untill u could get ur hair done again
I agree with you but I didn’t didn’t do any of these😭 just went straight to have a disaster😭🤲🏾
Oh no so sorry this happened we really don’t realize how fragile our hair is until it’s damaged my hair went through some much last year because I trusted my stylist to much she was money hungry and didn’t give a damn about my hair it’s finally thriving again but still needs more tlc
O so sorry about your hair🫂 I’m glad to know that it is doing better now🥰
Hopefully mine thrives just fine as well😊
@@plangdes Thank you with proper care I’m sure your hair will thrive and be healthy again 😊
So for future reference next time get an protein treatment after or before the relaxer..I will say if your hair is virgin an relaxer will only shed you till it's nomore hair and you don't suppose to comb out the hair with relaxer on..I'm natural as well wouldn't dare think about relaxing my hair..but best wishes to you🤗
Thank you for your kind suggestions 🙏🏾
I’ve taken corrections. Protein treatment noted and no combs in hair while relaxer is on🙅🏾♀️
Thank youuu❤️❤️
How did you get your hair to go back to its original texture
I didn’t retouch with relaxer for about 5months after the initial damage so I had a reasonable and thick amount of growth before retouching it and honestly I barely did much. I just let the hair breath with little manipulation. I think I’ll just link the update videos here and hopefully my journey makes more sense to you

At this point , I say just do a short pixie cut !
Thought of cutting the hair but I got a lot of encouragement and relaxed hair care suggestions so I’m giving it another shot and hopefully it thrives well if not whatever happens happens
What relaxer did they use on your hair?
The ORS OLIVE OIL Relaxer
Did that person shampoo and condition her hair
I think she did but I’m reasoning it now, I don’t think she used a neutralizing shampoo😭 everything that could go wrong really did go wrong so I’ll not be surprised if my hair kept on processing even after washing and styling😭🤲🏾
Sorry girl 😂
Thank you🤲🏾🥺❤️
🤦🏾♀️The relaxer stayed in too long, did you get a steam or anything that makes a difference !
Nope. Nothing. My hair didn’t even smell neutralizing shampoo let alone any serious care or pamper. It was straight up disaster😭
Oh my goodness 😂😂🤣🤣😃
😭😂
Omg 😱.
🥺😭
Too strong the relaxer but your hair looks too thin too. Hope you are doing better 🙋
Doing way better now! Thank you
That beat up comb the hairdresser was using first probably pulled hair out. Teeth on it were wrecked. You are a pretty young lady. Don’t sweat the small stuff. Peace.
Thank youu💝
6:54 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 like literally your hair looks fried....the relaxer overstayed...
I won't be surprised if you probably had sores at some parts ...I'm sorry i laughed though...your captions were funny 😅😅😅
All the same...it's hair...i hope by now it has grown back
😭😭
The good thing is I didn’t have a single sore🤗 If not I would have shave it the same day😭
But thank youuuu. It hair and it’s bouncing back just fine!🥰 See evidence👉🏾 czcams.com/video/SrSK3gzLrcE/video.htmlsi=xbXKxGNqQduRXpho
@@plangdes oh okay.
Now I think my suspicion that people with thin hair have tougher scalp, as compared with thicker hair. Because if it was me, my scalp will be roasted 😂.
@@gladystettehtv7390😅😅😅😅😅
Oh man I'm so sorry that happened to you. I hate going to the barber and leaving unsatisfied. I don't even understand what they did to you... Your permed hair looks fake like it's made of plastic?? Damn. I hope you at least got your money back.
Didn’t get a dime back but sure left with a damaged hair😭
To be fair I went to a really cheap saloon and got my moneys worth becauseeee😭😭
Thank you for your concern tho🤲🏾❤️
Looks like I can count your hair.
If you take your time you should be able to count it😩😢
..maybe she used very strong' instead of the mild one....try beautiful beginings its very mild
I hope I’ll be able to get that here in Nigeria. Thank you not the less 🙏🏾
im planning on relaxing mine too 😂😭😭😭
I don’t need to talk much. Just take a look at my hair!😭 Actually it can still turn out pretty good. Just ensure you go to a saloon that is familiar with relaxing natural hair and will be kind to your hair❤️
She fetched out the remaining hair😂😂😂😂
Eyyah sorry 🤣🤣
You’re laughing at me😭😂 Thank you tho🤲🏾🙏🏾
Dear I'm so sorry for you😰, maybe you shouldn't go anymore to the hairdresser.
Thank youu😪❤️❤️
Yes decision has been made. That hair dresser is staying far from my hair and relaxers🙅🏾♀️
This is nikki anderson I don't get perms I don't need it I wear I my hair naturally
This is nikki anderson I don't wear perms
Taking braids down and combing same day is terrible. Putting a relaxer on already damaged hair is no good. Then the application was wrong. The lady was too rough, did not use the rat tail brush. Then she combed the relaxer in and the hair was already damaged and thin. Probably used a strength too strong. Did not wash it out correctly, possibly didnt neutralize properly.
So sorry that happened but you MUST research first.
Nothing like didn’t neutralize properly. She did not neutralize at allllll😭
Thank you❤️
Accept your natural hair
😂😂😂😂😂😂sorry
Prepoo with mayonnaise,it will help to strip the relaxer a Little. You hair is very fine. You should not relax your hair. Plus relaxer is not good for your health. Your skin is the largest organ.
Also you were to go to a cosmetologist for a relaxer. They look like braiders.
📝
Thank youuu🙏🏾❤️
@@plangdes 🤗
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂im so sorryy
Thank you😭😂
I think the relaxer stayed too long in your hair....n may have been too strong..a mild relaxer would have given you a better result..it looks over processed...when doing your first wash..try and do a deep condition treatment to revive your hair..Best wishes from Jamaica 🇯🇲
Yes it did stay too long. I’ll try and do a bit of research and find a mild relaxer for my next touch up and I’ll sure be deep conditioning every now and then. Thank you so much for your concern🙏🏾 I’m grateful❤️
You honestly can pull off a short cut 🤷🏽♀️
😭☹️
Not with the way this hair was looking in this video. Too damaged for whatsoever style. Maybe when I regain a bit of volume but for this very hairrr???😭😭
I’m sorry but I have say this as a warning. But never let a salon in Africa touch your head. Most are so uneducated on hair. Smh.
Let’s not condemn all of them. Some are good and know what they are doing but most of them are really clueless how to properly handle hair. I just got unlucky with the clueless ones.
You should not do bone straight, you over processed your hair
I agree😭😭
Hait too thin to coat it like that and wait...looking at your hair I know you is a runner, those of us who literally need to run to the sink to rinseee or else...well, you know. Sorry for your lost, but it will come back!
