@@daveyboy_ Serge Savard was great in some areas, but poor on a few occasions. The handling of Lafleur was one of the worst thing I ever heard of in hockey. management. His 1990s drafts were bad and the trades he made in the 90s were bad too. Possibly at his "peak" as a GM from the 1984 draft up until the late 80s.. Both cups had a lot to do with Roy. Savard left his mark though.
@@Gagne87Fixxer who do u think drafted Roy ? He put that 86 team together and by 93 through trades and drafting won the cup again . As for Lafleur, this was no longer 1977 and if it's a choice between a fading star and the coach. The coach wins. Always . How do u think he got the nickname, The Senator.

I didn't know Savard was GM in 1984, which was one of the best Habs draft. He went up a notch on my list.
